Ugh, some points to make:

First, I'd appreciate people not speculating about what I am or am not searching for or what people will or won't reply to...not least because all speculation in here other than female/sub is so far wrong.

The report system clearly does not work, pointing to it is laughable.

Sure it isn't the biggest problem in the world, but that's a foolish argument.....I can (and have been for years) just ignore such profiles, in the same way people can ignore spam that turns up in their inbox....that doesn't mean that anyone would use a email provider that doesn't have some sort of spam filter.

If it is indeed possible to filter out all results with nigeria/ghana/whatever that would help a little, and I'd love to know how.


I refuse to accept claims without explanation that collarme is somehow uniquely unable to have mods.


We're talking about a website...that seemingly brings in significantly more in ad revenue than hosting costs....that's plagued by scammers, spammers and miscellaneous fake profiles...and, for some extremely unclear reason, is unwilling/unable to appoint mods. I just find that inexplicable.

Well.. there really isn't any reason for you to stay in such a non moderated site is there? I mean, if you really are so very upset that you have to be an adult and monitor your own activities here... why be here?

Did you think everyone would side with you and is that why you cannot listen or hear actual facts about running a site, how it is online at most sites and expect to be made a moderator for needy adults?

You want it done right (your way)... start your own site.

Well I certainly didn't expect the so many responses accusing me of being childish for requesting some moderation.

Perhaps I am a child, that's why this is the only website I ever visit, and there isn't actually any such thing as mods on other sites, and no-one minds spam afterall.

Personally I don't find it a problem either, in fact the spammer/scammer profiles are, as you said, easy to spot and therefore don't bother me much at all. As far as the report function, well I don't know if it works or not, I have, to the best I can recall, never used it, never saw the need. Just what exactly is it about the fake profiles that causes you so much distress?

You could tell us what search parameters you use, since AquaticSub did ask on the previous page. My attempts to guess what you were searching for that gave you all those spammer profiles was merely an amusing attempt to answer her question . . . . . .

Or, even more entertainingly (for me) you can keep whining on how horrid it is for you to have to put up with all this, given how much money you've poured into this site . . . . . . . & I'll keep assuming that you're searching for women outside your league, since that's what scammers & spammers so frequently try to pretend to be . . .. . .

Oddly enough, My definition of what a plague entails is something that is a bit more extreme than clicking any of the report profile, hide, or block buttons. 

As to internet dating, if the method works for you, great.  If it doesn't work, maybe you ought to try other methods, such as going to munches.  I hardly think that one can argue that their own personal lack of success in internet dating should lay solely on the complaint of the number of fake profiles.

I did see it, like I said the report system ....obviously....doesn't work. Or rather, it does work eventually after however-many reports, but obviously isn't good enough.

@Arpig, how much distress are you getting from me starting a topic about it after 4 years?

Again....like I said, just because it isn't the worst problem in the world it should just be ignored?

It is...by a fair way....the most common complaint about collarme.

@LadyPact, and indeed I've made no such arguement. It's a fair point about the uses of such words to describe small things....but nobody only uses plague(d) for diseases anymore, and in fake profile terms how many more would qualify as a plagued or not? It is semantics perhaps, but I guess I'm happy to admit it's not a plague no, read 'large number of annoying fake profiles' instead of 'plague of'.

I don't see tons of spammers-scammers when I only screen for subs-female, but as for 'fakes', I have no idea what that means to you . . . . I do suspect that one person's fake is another person's perfect fit, so, to me, 'fake' is a kinda useless & much over-used word 'round these parts (most of the women who post to these message boards have been called 'fake' at some point in their CM experience; so too many of the men) . . .. .

Are they fakes cuz they don't want you? What makes for a 'fake' as opposed to a 'spammer-scammer' type?

I'm somewhat aware of the 'real/player' argument on the forums, I do want to make it absolutely clear that I'm not talking about that at all....I'm talking about nigerian/whatever scammers out for your money, fat middleaged men pretending to be teenage girls....and a few other things that aren't as common. People making a profile to sell their bondage equipment....the profiles made along the lines of 'xxxgirl2: warning xxxgirl1 turns out not to actually be the 19 year old angelina jolie they are pretending to be', particularly bug me because of the self defeating nature of filling up the lists with fake profiles warning about other fake profiles......on one such profile I am on a list of people who make fake profiles, because the only reason I would message them to point out the aforementioned selfdefeatingness is that I must be making fake profiles myself and scared of the threat the warning profile poses to my kind....

I laugh when I see the 60 pound, six foot eight, Native American's, with magazine or stolen pictures... especially when they call me dear. I roll my eyes at sweet lil babe's wanting to take the worms bank accounts and credit cards. You worry about these things and I have to wonder what a real serious situation would do to you. I have been here for........however many years........and spent untold minutes browsing. I see no problem.  So there are some with obviously pirated photos.........big deal. Enjoy the eye candy, then hide them and move on.

To the OP:  Which actually brings up an interesting point.  This is obviously your pet peeve.   So what happens when the next person wants a Mod against "their" pet peeves?   Just like me, I don't know if it's a peeve or not, but when I see someone or someone sends me an email that I want to know more about, I"m disappointed when their profile is blank.  Should we ban all lazy people that won't complete their profiles?   This is a social site, so they should be require to fill out a profile so that I can socialize damn it!.....lol    Pretty soon there would be no one allow to post here.  Besides, some of those profiles might very well be real (I do have a cousin, who is black, that has white skin and blonde hair...we in the south call that a "throw back")....lol

another pet peeve...I hate when my homepage pops up some big ole c**k is in ma face, without even dinner or a howdy doo....I just simply put hide so it won't do that again, and I go on with my day

I know it's annoying, but you just gotta click on it....go damn here's another profile I hate, and then click the hide button and move on to the next.

Being a nigerian scammer is clearly against the terms and purpose of the site, deactiviating your profile isn't.

I think, though not sure, that cock as your main pic is also against terms, wouldn't ya rather it didn't happen?
I'm kinda.....disappointed.....in the view so common in these replies that only major problems are worth fixing.
