ORIGINAL: DCWoody No, just no. I can be bothered, I have mentioned....I've been using collarme.com for years, I don't think I'm being spectaculorly...or even minorly...unreasonable by making a post about this problem.....nor do I think it is a sign of me crying, being unable to cope, imploding, panicing, being distressed....and I forget the others people've said...you get the idea. Edited to add:I don't think it qualifies as a rant either :p I appreciate that the mods are volunteers (at least I assume they are), I did not criticise that....the point that there are worthy people willing to volunteer was my point. And I do not think I need a reality check, the implication that I would demand a free meal at a soup kitchen and complain about the service is damn close to being libellous, and no I am not threatening to sue, asking for it to be deleted, or anything.....but I am certainly not going to reply to such a 'question'. I made a short, calm, polite post to a forum....I think some people should think carefully about why this drew such extreme responses. I am not and have not intended to insult or criticise anyone, calm down. :) And all the other "well meaning" people who bitch about it aren't qualified either. Those who are qualified don't see it as a problem, sad that you can't wrap your head around that. As for AquaticSub's statement about the soup kitchens, perhaps it is your lack of reading comprehension that would make you unqualified. I know that she has politely suggested that you re-read the thread. quote:
ORIGINAL: AquaticSub Would you feel comfortable insisting that a soup kitchen that gives free meals take on more volunteers than they were comfortable with or felt they could manage effectively because five people out of a fifty felt they had to wait too long? Where does that ask if you would demand a free meal? Do you understand the meaning of "libel?" libel 1) n. to publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of others. Asking a question is not stating an untruth. You have made your reputation here and if you are the "target" of ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt, you did that to yourself. We all realize that you are going to continue to try to make your point. We also all realize that you just don't seem to grasp the concept of why your "requested" or "suggested" changes are unnecessary.
