does this go against TOS?

Status: offline 		Perhaps this question is one best left for legal types to answer. Given that this site is world wide and, as such, has to play the delicate balancing game of allowing user generated content that may be legal in some places yet borderline illegal in others, it's not an easy question to answer. I doubt that many of us here (though, there may be a few lurking about in the shadows) that have that expertise to give you a good, solid answer.

For instance, is there common consensus among the world's jurisdictions as to what constitutes an escort service? Are they legal in one place yet illegal in another? If they are legal, is advertising them legal in some places and not in others?

This site, like many others of its kind, probably has to play a delicate balancing game with international legalities. Sure, they could be über-conservative and allow nothing that is illegal even in the smallest of neighborhoods but in so doing, there might not be any topic or photo idea left that might be allowed to be published consistent with BDSM themes.

Personally, it doesn't bother me if someone writes about their escort services in their diaries. If I'm interested in such (which would put me on the wrong side of the law where I live) I might be helped by having that info readily available. If I'm not interested, I'll ignore and move on. That's my personal choice.

A few years back I reported a profile that was being used against the guys permission- he is not gay etc-  supposedly I was to call him.

The man was NOT happy to get my call.

Anyhow - last I looked it was still here.

simply read the TOS, but I think they may have an issue with it

It's no different than me saying I'm a merchant banker.
If that is what you do, it's fine.
If it's up front and honest what could be the issue.
Like maybe someone of whatever persuasion has got sick of all the
non existent people here and has just decided stuff it I'll pay for it
then I know what I'm getting.

They should have that right to access your details if you want them too.

Hello there Gary! Let me introduce myself, Moderator 7 here.

And guess what:. I give a toss about the TOS. And you should give a toss that I give a toss if you don't want to end up in a tossed salad

Now to the OP, you'll notice that anytime you are on a profile and you are viewing it as a half page (not full page) there is the option REPORT PROFILE. Do so, and then there are radio buttons to select either the profile or the journal entry.

The person who you are reporting will never know it's you. A reviewer will take a look at the entry and make a call. Our reviewers know the TOS well.

Thanks to all of you for making Collarme more enjoyable for everyone by reporting such issues. As this is a free site maintained by volunteers, we can't have eyes everywhere.
