Dommes or no, I have found that the vast majority of women like things modern when it's time to get paid. But when the dinner check comes, all of a sudden it's 1955, and they fall back on "traditional roles". Not all women, but a LOT.

Let's take this in another direction.

How does it make you feel when someone buys you something? How does it make you feel when someone extends something very generous without attitude or expectation and simply does it to please you?

Who wouldn't want to receive such a wonderful gift of spirit? In my opinion, gifting and generousity go two directions and it is also an amazing feeling to gift someone and be generous.

Seeing a spirit of... I wish to take care of you with this lil thing, even if it includes the purchase of something... it is more than just that purchase. It is a spirit of someone blessing someone else. When someone wishes to pay for dinner... I feel they are gifting in a good way or a bad way and if it is a good way I will allow them to bless me... but no way will they remain in my life and not be blessed by me at some point. If they give in a bad way... do it for bonus points rather than a generous heart or spirit or they expect something out of it... well.. they can expect to exit my life real quick.

Generosity can go both ways and most typically do between people in long term relationships. It is all about the spirit in which we do things. If one is selfish and only wants the blessings of a generous spirit.. they will reap the rewards of that.
