Yes, god did make us in his own image, but let’s face it, He did not make a gay person. it is a life style you have chosen to do. Just like d/s we choose this just as you choose to be gay!!!!

eyesopened -> RE: Why are people afraid of same-sex marriage? (1/10/2010 1:48:47 PM)

*laughs*  So you have no source for your bigotry and hatred, you just spew it.  Sort of a bukkake of stupidity.  It's just that I'm really picky about where and from whom I get my facials.

I am not gay.  I can't even claim to have any gay friends.  But I hold a strong belief in a Spirit who I was told IS pure Love.  Therefore whatever isn't Love cannot be from God.

pahunkboy -> RE: Why are people afraid of same-sex marriage? (1/10/2010 1:56:59 PM)

no- one does NOT choose to be gay.

One only chooses to be honest that one IS gay.

We can consider 3 friends who committed suicide over this.  Or the marriages ruined when the lie can no longer be carried on.

So I am 46.  Suppose I faked straight=- then at 46 it all ended. That is not fair to a wife- any kids nor to myself.  Yeah- I could have spent 20 years lying.   But in the end- it would have hurt people.
A woman does not want to learn her husband is gay.

Just be happy that you are blessed to be wired for heterosexual love.

If everyone is a shoemaker then who will bake the bread?

So, sexual orientation is a choice?  Let me ask you then, when did you choose to be straight?

Eyes, please can I borrow that term? the " Sort of a bukkake of stupidity." it fits so well altho I would add ugliness too.
Carmel, everyone has the right to be ignorant, but do you have to abuse the privilege?

LadyEllen -> RE: Why are people afraid of same-sex marriage? (1/10/2010 2:01:46 PM)

Good thing Carmel only seeks black guys; those mixed race relationships are an abomination before the Lord after all, who was as we know, white.

I could get quite good at concocting this offensive nonsense myself. God told me so.

All I see in this discussion is a rabid viper quoting mistakes. Jesus was put on this planet to spread the Lords newest message which was love. If my neighbor is gay, so be it. I will love him or her no matter what. In fact I have drag friends that I love dearly. Even my former sub who is TG.

But to practice such hatred to the point of looking childish and immature is wrong. That is not the Lord's message. That is why it is called the New Testament...because it is releasing us of the fears of worship.

BTW, I am a shaman/wicca/UU. I read the Quran for solace and a deeper understanding of a race of people who are being punished due to a few bad apples. I used to have a Catholic Bible and loved it since I could see ALL of the books of the Bible.

So if you keep spurting out hatred, it will come back to you 10 fold just like the Bible says. Be care of what you say.

Hmmm did he make murderers...did he make muggers...did he make terrorists...did he make pro abortionists...did he make the mentally ill...did he make Catholics that use rubbers...did he make smallpox…did he make aids…did he make h1n1…did he make the plague…did he make the common cold …did he make the Hindus…did he make Buddhists…did he make the devil…did he not tell you that you could be forgiven your sins…Is homosexuality listed as a mortal sin…if God can forgive should you not do the same?

Because if the state or government does not recognize the union, then the benefits from said unions are not valid... for example.. life insurance, health benefits, IRS filings.

I have found none...

Its just more paperwork and recognition is completely irrelevant....   The only thing that counts is "standing" within the law, keeping in mind law trumps statutes.

We have the infinite right to contract, and that right is possibly the most upheld right people have.......you can even "contract" to "waive" your right if you want.  (which is what government regulated marriage does)

First allowing the public into your private life is acquiescence and acceptance of implied power of attorney to regulate you.

Next when it is done that way we move from exercising our full sovereign rights granted by God to government granted privileges, and that which the government granteth the government taketh away.....at any time.

So then I guess that takes us to the buy off....

What are they giving you as a privilege that you cannot have by claim of right?......

This is all very true, but still irrelevent. The answer as to whether same sex marriage should be legalized is of course. If a straight person has a right to become a slave to a spouse, then a homosexual should have the same option as we are all considered equal under the constitution.

Or, I should say, all white, straight men with a penis and a job that doesn't smoke pot or listen to good music are all considered equal under the constitution. Yep, that's what the founding fathers wanted. Alternative rock and uptight in-the-closet fagbashers.

Stop bitching Aquaticsub……you are the one who stated that your too much of a bitch to have a child with her husband…

Oh so I'm a bitch for wanting to adopt? By the way, Valyraen agrees with me. Your kind who views adopting as not having a child are the selfish idiots.
quote:

so if the birth parent deiced to come get their child then that is on them. The same money you spend to fly over seas you can use right here in American to adopt a child. A child is not a toy

No shit. That's why I'm utterly disgusted with the fact that people who want to raise children have to jump through so many hoops but people who don't care get to make twenty of them and then not give a shit what happens to them.
quote:

but this is not what the subject is all about, what we are speaking at is gay marriage, which is a discrete to the lord. NO the Lord was not Gay!!!! Yes he opposes same sex unions. I know you hate to hear this but it is the truth.

You don't speak for G-d.
quote:

No I do not teach in my classroom about same sex marriage. I even tell my children it is against the will of the Lord.

As is your right.
quote:

God did not make and Adam and Steve but Adam and Eve. To have a child it is still the union between a man and a woman. AGAIN I STATE A MAN CAN NOT MAKE A CHILD UNLESS IT IS WITH A WOMAN. You just the devil children when you are gay!!!

And yet you have failed to address the problem of: If G-d only wanted those who make a child to get together, he would have made everyone fertile. Your approach renders those incapable of having biological children worthless and unfit for marriage, even if they are heterosexual.

Actually we disagree on two counts now. I didn't choose d/s. I am submissive. It's part of how G-d made me. G-d also made me bisexual. I'm also very religious and probably know a great deal more about the Bible than you.

By the way, if you are a woman, do you make a point of telling all the men not to touch when you are menstrating? Or if you are man, do you ask women if they are menstrating before you hug them? It's a sin to touch a woman who is on her period you know.

Hey Aqua..isn't it only a sin in the Hassidic or Orthodox Jewish culture? You know, the whole mikvah (sp) thing? I am Jewish, and I don't think it's a sin EVER but then again I am not orthodox. [:D]

Nope. It's in the Torah which is the Old Testment to Christians. If Christians are going to draw from the Old Testment for sins, that one counts too. Oh are you aware that the Bible also says it's ok to sell your daughter into sexual slavery?

This is complete and utter bollocks.

Christ as the central figure of religion preached non-conformity in all spiritual and moral affairs. That was why he was crucified.

It would be easier for me to accept Osama Bin Laden as a Muslim than you as a Christian. Society needs protecting from people like you who are only so willing to do the work of Satan.

I will pray for you.

No problem! Hey, just because I'm super helpful and just in case Carmel actually owns a copy of the books she spouts so much (I own several despite being no longer being Christian)...

The passage regarding menstruation is found at: Leviticus 15:19
quote:

And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.

15:20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

15:21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

15:22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

15:23 And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.

15:24 And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

BTW - Women are also considered unclean after giving birth and need to be cleansed. So much for childbirth being this awesome holy thing. Leviticus, 12.4

Kirata -> RE: Why are people afraid of same-sex marriage? (1/10/2010 3:13:28 PM)

Carmeldelight,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to best follow them.

1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as it suggests in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Cubans but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than
homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

7. Lev. 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I wear prescription glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? A friend of mine says this rule applies to astigmatism and myopia. Since I am far-sighted, I hope she is right.

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is perfect and eternal.

K.
