Age does not have anything to do with it, it is the state of mind that counts.

I agree, my wife and I find that the older more mature submissive is serious about a D/s relationship where the younger ones are not as serious. We have found a few younger ones that are serious but not that many. We both prefer them to be intelligent and ready to commit to a real relationship.

I find no expiration date on submissives .. but do find I prefer those that are "ripe <EG>/ mature" ... I seek a submissive to share both my D/S and vanilla life .. therefore need to have much in common with him..

I usually do not consider anyone under 47 ... I am 57... there have been a few exceptions to this ...but it is not the norm for me to make exceptions.

Personally, I prefer subs who are within about 10 years of My age, plus or minus.   I find that I have more in common with people relatively close to My age and feel more comfortable around them.  I have learned this through experience.

I have been with subs young enough to be My son, but quite frankly, was not physically attracted to them.   I also found that I did not have much in common with them.  And I certainly do not relish the idea of people thinking My sub is My son when we are out in public, LOL.

I seek a sub who will be My primary partner, and it just seems to work better on all levels when he is around My age.

I personally as a Dominate Female prefer the subs over 35 yrs of age, I am 28 yrs old. I find that subs that are older are more honest and true. I find that most (not all) of the younger subs just want to play games, and tend to try and put their wants ahead of his/her Domme, knowing that is not the way it is suppose to be. Older subs IMHO know that the Domme comes first,

Well I am agreeing with you and making my point, most young subs are about themselves. But I think that might also be said about young vanilla boys. Maybe it is just about being young and not quite understanding that the way to long term connection/relationship is through acknowledging that one's partner's needs are important. Because if you satisfy your partner's needs, then your needs will get taken care of by inertia.

But it isn't fair for me to say that is limited to young pseudo-subs.  There are a variety of people in every age, every size, every orientation.

Of course, there is no absolute in young vs. old subs, I've met some magnificent young people, both men and women, who offer a maturity level that I could learn from. When a young sub  comes correct and says the sweet submission words, I give him a chance. However, I must say, I have been disappointed each time. But I will also say that I have no regrets in meeting anyone

I had to sort of giggle when I saw the topic. Sounds like the milk went sour. Perhaps I should check Mine in the fridge. On a more serious note I think that sadly it goes both ways. If You are Younger then You get older submissives/slaves thinking you dont know what the hell you are doing. I have been in the lifestyle since directly out of high school and have had several submissives question Me on the level that I am at. Sadly I think even in and out of this lifestyle people are picky about age. I personally enjoy older submissives only because they seem more focused. Does not mean I will not consider a younger sub. I think no one has an expiration date. You are only as old or young as you feel.

Yes, in my case they do. I agree with MysticFireTopaz as I am seeking a life partner/husband and not a play relationship. But as I am 42, I limit it down even farther. I've found that even 7 years older and I meet up with severe differences in opinions, completely different tastes in music choices, and other generational gap issues I'd rather not have to try and bridge. The fit has to be there on every level.
