I replied to another thread on here about punishments and one of the things i said got me thinkng ( always a dangerous thing).

I am 100% not into pain to me pain just hurts there is no pleasure in it. I am very lucky my Master is sensual not a sadist so in tha respect we are well matched. When Master gives me a play spanking i get turned on. It is not that pain of the spanking that does nothing for me it is the submission of it that turns me on.

So what is the turn on for you pain or the submission or both?

It's sometimes a combination of both. Sometimes it's knowing the pain is going to take me to a wonderful place. Sometimes it's knowing it's what he wants to do at that particular time.

pain doesnt turn me on at all, not even during play - im weird like that.

but, i need to submit to it. i cant be in a Ds or Ms relationship without pain play - it brings about a cathartic calming after the struggling thing.

Yeah both to be honest, I can be turned on by pain without any submission at all, it always has an added dimension when the dynamic is there though

I don't usually find pain to be a turn on at all. However, when in the context of submission...I almost always get turned on by it.

Pain does not turn me on.  Submission does not turn me on either.  Good sex with a partner who is giving and sharing and has a great sense of humor does turn me on.

Only pain. Even an iota of a feeling of submission or humiliation and the mood is gone.

Pain turns me on because i like where it takes me. Submission I had to think on, and yes it too turns me on, because sometimes i really don't want to do something, but doing it anyways and getting through the i don't want to do this now..or whenever is a turn on.

For me i'm thinking its both. i haven't had it in a very long time, and i thought is was JUST that pain i was missing, but after thinking about your post, i can see that for me, when my Master "controls me" with a whipping, or bondage, or whatever, its His CONTROL, and DOMINANCE that i "feel" coming from Him. It centers me in my place. i have been feeling adrift for some time now, and i think perhaps this may be part of the reason. i'm grateful for this question, i will be talking with Master about it tomorrow, to get His thoughts, Thanks Littleone35.

My biggest turn on, mentally, is bringing pleasure to my Master.  That could be anything from surprising him by scraping the ice off his windshield in the morning to cooking a good meal for him at night to following his every command and going above and beyond.  Pain does not turn me on at all.  If he wishes to inflict pain on me I will gladly submit to his wishes, and I will caress the bruises in the days to come and smile, but the pain itself is not what turns me on.

While the pain is enjoyable to me, the completion of submission is perfection to me.  i thought I would never suck toes or anything like that.  It seemed weird to me, but for Daddy, i crawl in desperation to His feet and find bliss in begging to sucking those toes.  If He deems it worthy to spank or beat me, then i am grateful moreover, but His pleasure is everything to me.
