Status: offline 		In an earlier post I said that I wouldn't give a dime to Haiti. I guess I was wrong. Since 1992 U S taxpayers have given 3 billion dollars to that country, not counting the 100 million (to start) that Obama pledged today. It is worse there now than it was 18 years ago except the drug dealers and dictators are much richer. The only good thing that could come of this is maybe the drug dealers, gangs and thieving cops got buried in the ruble.

Christianity does not tell us to help those people who dont need our help, but help even the lowest of people. How would the people who have shown no compassion for the people who have endured the disaster feel if they were told in their time of need that they do not deserve help.

Every other conservative media outlet and group have front page links to the Haiti relief fund, Rush Limbaugh has a link to a company that sells gold coins.

Rush and Pat Robertson have proven that they are not even in the mainstream conservative circles. Even today Rush advocated NOT donating to Haiti relief, saying the American People have already given, it is called income tax.

Polite, I've been to Haiti, it *is* a "crime ridden slum." What do you want to do, put perfume on a pig? And the U.S. *is* providing assistance!
Everyone's reading comprehension seems to be down today for some reason.
And servant is correct, Haiti *is* the most corrupt country in the Western hemisphere! Once we help get it stabilized we shouldn't give anymore of the Taxpayer's to them and a lot more countries too.
And where's the "U.N." in all this with all the billions they've stolen from countries?

Actually, Haiti doesnt even make the top sixty countries for crime rates.

Where the fuck have they got these figures from. Must be the absolute most incompetent load of drivel i have seen for a long time. I lived 20 years in South Africa and follow the politics there closely as I still have 2 sons there and a lot of friends. Now I live in my native Denmark and that the crimerate should be higher in Denmark than South Africa is simply a sick joke. I don't take is as an insult, but i really wish that this kind of misinformation would be kept out of the net, as it just confuse any decent debate.

Status: offline 		I have to wonder, just who in Haiti is keeping track of the crimes committed there ? There is no functional government. The police force, if you call it that is corrupt. It is a clearing house for drugs coming to this country. The streets are run by gangs. Maybe the statistical data from Haiti really isn't to accurate.

We've spent about 3 Trillion dollars on Iraq and Afghanistan, and they are each worse off than they were before we started, and the only ones getting richer are the opium dealers and warlords. Oh, and we have lost about 5,000 young men.

And you are pissed at the 100 million??? Thats a fucking rounding error to Blackwater.
