ORIGINAL: Spydrman Could you, or anyone for that matter, tell me the difference between a bigot and a racist? or what exactly a "racist" is. I think too many people use words that seems to have some type of meaning because they're used interchangeably without regard to their true meaning or definition. Words like bigot, racist and prejudiced seem to be used interchangeably when in fact they have completely different meanings, let me be so bold as to say I don't in "race" because there is no clear and concise meaning and I dare anyone to come up with one. Really not much difference at all. Racist: a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. Bigot: intolerant person: somebody with strong opinions, especially on politics, religion, or ethnicity, who refuses to accept different views Synonyms: extremist, diehard, dogmatist, racist, chauvinist, hypocrite Synonyms except a racist believes in the inherent inferiority of a group. In either case, not much humanism. Ahh but there is a huge difference. The PC biggots on the board will constantly carp about illegal aliens from Mexico and when called racists will jump behind the claim that Mexicans are Caucasians so they cannot possibley be racists so the word biggot comes into play with those assholes. Bottom line is that there is but one race on this planet...the human race...ethnicities may differ but the dna says we are all one gang of assholes. HST Thompson, and you don't need to be in the U.S. to be "human" do ya?
