Status: offline 		Climate researchers have discovered that NASA researchers improperly manipulated data in order to claim 2005 as “THE WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD.” KUSI-TV meteorologist, Weather Channel founder, and iconic weatherman John Coleman will present these findings in a one-hour special airing on KUSI-TV on Jan.14 at 9 p.m. A related report will be made available on the Internet at 6 p.m. EST on January 14th at www.kusi.com. In a new report, computer expert E. Michael Smith and Certified Consulting Meteorologist Joseph D’Aleo discovered extensive manipulation of the temperature data by the U.S. Government’s two primary climate centers: the National Climate Data Center (NCDC) in Ashville, North Carolina and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) at Columbia University in New York City. Smith and D’Aleo accuse these centers of manipulating temperature data to give the appearance of warmer temperatures than actually occurred by trimming the number and location of weather observation stations. No, and it's an important distinction, especially in this thread. I say this with greatest respect for the television weather people I've worked with over the years (a couple of whom were, in fact, fine journalists): Getting your face on television does not make you a journalist.

Status: offline 		There are multiple reputable sources for the complete manipulation of data that has occurred on the global warming/climate change hysteria. The reality is that NONE of the more than dozen computer simulations has ever been validated, that is, they have never in an a priori fashion properly predicted any global temperature data. Indeed, the data from the last decade was completely not predicted by any simulation. Anyone with a scientific simulation background (I have been an aerospace engineer for 30 years dealing in large dynamic simulations) knows that any simulation only has value if it can not only match past data (which can be done mathematically with enough variables) but also properly predict future data. Until the sims actually start to do this, they are useless in terms of giving reliable predictions for long term consequences. This entire process has been a scientific farce, run more by politics and money than by any true scientific investigation. Until all the scientific community, including all those that are now raising alarms about the questionable methodology, come together for a proper analysis of the data, this entire mess is bad science leading to bad politics.

If he is working as a reporter no matter his professional background he is a "journalist"

If on the other hand he is a meteorologist not working for media outlets and publishing his work in scientific journals then he is a meteorologist. This guy is not publishing in scientific journals so he is acting as a journalist in my mind... thanks for playing

So that means it is not main media.   Which makes it more credible.

I really do not care what people choose to believe... I really do not.

I spend my life trying to get the professional cred to get respect when I say something and I would not spend that cred lightly. The people who put out tinfoil hat sites do not have to worry about their cred so they will say anything and some people are just gullible enough to believe it...

Have there been times when things I have read on those sites had a grain of truth to them? Certainly, but even a broken clock is right twice a day
