ORIGINAL: afterforever My future career (very near future now - Finals on Monday!) is fairly important to me, I love doing it and I think I will be quite good at it. And I probably should change my picture to something far-away/headless, ********************************** I don't think the NHS would actually want to fire me and risk any media exposure, but I don't want to scare the poor patients. But then again, if they found me on this website (which I use with my personal email address not my official/uni one), who are they to talk? **************************************** I am sure the NHS does not have IT or PR people strolling through sites like this when they have an employee to do a background check on. They have more important tasks at hand. The patients you will be servicing probably will never get their hands on a computer in their life time. And yes, if one of your co-workers is on a site like this looking for a counterpart, then you have something to talk about IF they found you. And BTW my highest respects to you and your future plans. This just isn't applicable to you afterforever but to others in public professions. My Sir was employed as an auditor and was out in public alot for years and his picture never was a problem. There are several MD's on this site who have their pic up, a chicago excecutive....so if a co-worker is on a site like this, how many chances are there to finding a specfic person and why would they have a reason to out you to the employers, the employer has no right to strip anyone of a job based on their private life. Removing my picture would probably be a little over-cautious, realistically, but some people don't like to take chances with their livelihoods, which is fair enough in my mind.
