ORIGINAL: belladonna666 good morning...i'm a little new to the dominant experience but i am very interested...i'm actually beginning to professionally work as a dom this week...does anyone have any advice on how i should act or any suggestions? OP, this is a lot more serious stuff than what someone has led you to believe. Dangerous acts and with dangerous toys. It seems like an easy thing, but if you really want to get into this; then immerse yourself into the community and REALLY get to know what is going on. Learn, listen, and use common sense and safety is your first concern. Be IN and not just work around. Too many articles and such of people in the professional or semi-professional capacity that have made it into the papers for various reasons (the last was a man that was found wondering the streets from Canada that was deposited there after an experience that ended with him needing to be in the hospital, but the Dommes that serviced him got scared and dropped him off on a side-street in the city), and all due to a lack of education and safety knowledge. They also didn't have the contingency plan for emergencies...so you may want to learn about first aid, CPR, and other health-related things just in case. This is just a start. Don't assume it's all easy and nothing to it. I've known people who have died while playing. That is reality. Books, munches, community events and organizations, courses on health and safety...all needed. Good luck, but be aware. Also remember its a dangerous dance, and even the best of us have a risk factor to deal with. Know yours and those of the ones you are dealing with first...
