Is this a sting, entrapment or what please comment advice needed!!!A close friend of mine is a member of various chat lines on the phone, and the other evening had gotten a response from a guy stating that he was looking for a long term mistress for sexual encounters only. He gave her his number which she blocked and called him and he stated to her that he was willing to pay her $3500.00 every two weeks for oral sex to completion, and if she didn't complete he would pay her $2700.00. Now here's the catch,(1) he claimed he did not carry cash on him, so they would not be able to meet at a hotel, motel etc but would rather meet at her place (2) would not pay cash but would put her on his pay-roll, i.e. creating a fake employee profile, reason being because he owned the company(commercial realestate) the wife had access to all accounts and he would have a reason as to where the above money was going every two weeks.
My friend met him the following day after work at a busy gas station and she stayed in her car and he stayed in his(now mind you this is someone who drove an old 2000 model mercury with the window fully tinted). She had informed him of her concerns of him being an undercover cop and that he had to bear with her and understand where she was coming from as being very careful, and for all she Knew, he could be wired up, and there could be agents all around them. He stated to her that just for her he had swung by his doctors office and brought his STD records which he tried to give to her through his rolled down window which my friend did not even reach for, but stated to him that the envelope didn't mean anything.
He then stated to her that if it was the money thing that she was afraid of to remove that from the equation. My friend asked him they could be friends and see where it went from there, but he stated that he had no time for meeting up with friend, taking her to resturants etc. He also went on to unbutton his shirt through his over coat and said loudly while looking down"to any one listening, I'm not a cop, nor am I affiliated with the law enforcement agency.
My friend stated to him that she still was not convinced, to which he stated that he wouldn't want to make her do anything that she was uncomfortable with. She told him if he hadn't had sex all this time it wouldn't kill him to wait a while longer, that his spouse might come around to which he wished he good luck and he drove off.
The above story, is this too good to be true or what, or is this a sting

Only seven posts and come up with something like this. I think we have a candidate for the CM gold club. (don't get your hopes up, we don't give out gold cards) And please to hit <enter> twice between paragraphs. Moving right along.....

I don't know quite what to think here. This is not a logical normal course of events. First of all if the guy does not want to use cash, there is a reason. Like James Trafficant under scrutiny, he couldn't buy a pencil on the sidewalk. To have to hide her loot using his corporate shell is something. I wish, if I had something going on someone would do that for me. To go to this length indicates one of a few possibilities.

First of all if she is willing to accept money for a sexual act she is in fact a prostitute by definition, and I have no problem with that. But the real question is why doesn't he just send her a check, or money order ? Or just give her the damn cash, period. There must be a reason.

So, taking on her advocacy in this case I would be VERY aprehensive about getting into this deal. For some reason they are watching this guy, and we have no idea what the reason is. She may find herself in a world of pulp fiction. That is not capitalized because I don't mean the movie, I really mean what the words mean. Takes some getting used to.

She has to also figure out the best possible outcome. If she can collect five grand a month being a mistress, it might well be worth it. I would take a gig like that. But she has to look at it from the other side, why the secrecy, is he fucked up in the head or something ? One nice thing about a paycheck deal is that if they leave your strangled corpse in a ditch, there is a paper trail. But that doesn't matter much, because first of all the insane rich don't give a fuck, and really, if they do get busted you are just as dead.

I would be leery as hell about this situation, but that means get more information, not to just forget about it.

Everything doesn't add up to a "sting" kind of operation. Also, undercover cops don't have "agents" Are you thinking this is some big operation? In any case, an undercover operation doesn't usually go to the lengths of saying "I need to put you on my payroll" That's just a bit odd.

I wouldn't worry so much that the guy was looking to uncover some big prostitution ring. I would be more concerned that the guy is a sicko and is going to kill her or something. There are so many things wrong with your whole story here.

In any case, if your friend is going to keep being members of these phone chat services and is willing to prostitute herself out, she needs to worry about more than the cops. She is putting herself in serious danger and should be careful.

Not sure what to think of this......but will say that this is not the first time that I have heard or read about this exact same thing taking place with another some time ago....Same exact story from start to finish!

So perhaps it is one of those moralistic urban myths? Maybe we will get an update that a few days later the guy's picture was in the paper because he was arrested for killing some woman he met on a phone chat line.

That story don't add up. First of all, what is the going rate for a hooker in Houston. Certainly can't be in the region of that (2 blow jobs for 3500 $). Second, a guy having that kind of cash avaliable on a regular basis don't drive a 10 year old jalopy.

Jeezus, the OP MUST be joking.  The dude can afford an extra $7,000 per month in gross payroll for one person, so his business is fuckin' huge (how involved can the wifey be??) ... and his wife is involved enough in his business to know when extra money is going out but is NOT smart enough to know that even the lawyers don't get that much?

Cali, you are just so sweet, pure and sheltered. It depends on where you are. Sometimes for nefarious activities you don't want your wealth to show. I had me a dandy 1976 Toronado, back when it was pretty nice. I still bought this shitcan truck. That was for other things, the Toro was my daily driver.

Partly I bought it for a backup, after all who knows what can go wrong on a Toro. These things were wierd, and nothing from anything else fit them. The tranny pan gasket is a special order, and it was back then. So a second vehicle was a good idea.

It served me well for a year or so, give or take.. One of the few cars I've never gotten busted in I might add. It was a D-50 Dodge, and I had to rebuild the bed, supporting it with wood. But then what do you want for $35 ?

I love driving junk. I wish I was legal so I could drive worse junk. I mean right now it's best if I have all the lights working and so forth, but to drive REAL garbage. I mean the worst of the worst. I mean a would be mugger could come up and say "Gimme all your money", to which you reply "Buddy take a fucking look at this car and give this whole project a minute of thought". In about a minute he will probably just go away, or even possibly give you a few bucks.

Sometimes when you're playing the game you do not want to flaunt it.

You know, weird stuff does happen.

I once moved into a place where I started noticing cops parked in the school parking lot, facing my home and watching it.  Unmarked vans that did not belong in the neighborhood sat across the street odd hours of the day, and my phone line clicked several times every time I received a call.  Turns out, I had moved into a home that had just previously been owned by a drug dealer.  I was really happy to find that out, since I was beginning to doubt my sanity and worried that I'd become paranoid.  To ease the boredom of the poor souls who drew the short straw in having to watch my every boring move - I used to make orgasm sounds at odd times in my phone conversations.  My friends probably would have thought it was odd, if they didn't know me so well.  I just told them I had sexual turrets (sp?).  I kinda miss those days of surveilance.  I felt REALLY safe.  Although the strange people knocking on my door all hours of the  night was a nuisance. 

To answer the OP - it is very unlikely it is undercover cops - unless your friend advertises as a Professional Dominatrix and has acquired enough of a return client base to raise a flag with any law enforcement agencies, or spends enough unreported cash to attract the attention of the IRS.

I know a few cops here in Chicago. They say that crack cocaine has ruined  all but the high end prostitution.

Blow jobs are now a 5-10 dollar deal.  Of course many of the hookers aren't really good looking.... but I am not sure that matters

Not necessarily.  I worked for several years for someone who owned a multimillion dollar business.  his wife went over every credit card statement, every check, every withdrawal, each and every month.  What she didn't go over with her fine tooth comb was payroll.
