I am consistently amazed at some of the questions on the forums these days. I long for the good old days when we waxed rhapsodically over jello wrestling and whether red or green would go with our red hair.....
i just read a post on another site where a male went into detail about how it felt to have hair ripped off his balls thanks to a Brazilian wax.

And SexyRed...i wear whatever color i want...except for rust....makes me look dead....not a good look for me.

I wish there were more threads out here like this that shed some light on  an area that I had never really contemplated before.

I was once invited over to a sub's house and her Dom was not around.  She was wearing a halter top and I could tell that she really "wanted it."

So I slammed her against the wall, pushed her head into the fish tank and went about my business.  When her Dom returned I understand that he was furious.  I guess the combination of sweat, blood, cum and piss when coupled with all of that fish jostling had a rather detrimental effect on a Six Line Wrasse, a Blackmouth Bicolor Chromis along with several Orange Spot Prawn Gobies.

I reluctantly paid for the dead fish and now we are back to being friends...If not for the op I would have never realized that some might have considered my behavior to have been rather unsavory.

Thanks op!!!

LOL...I was going to try to come up with something like that, but you beat me to it. Heck, I couldn't have topped that in any case. Ha

Holly, you are lucky. I cannot wear too many colors, except for black, duh, brown, navy, dark green and purple.

I don't like the way other colors look on me with my haircolor. I love red, but only wear that in lingerie.

However, I make up for it with jewelry, any color works there.

Red...you can wear any color you want, as long as the accessories work with your hair and skin color.

A red blouse is awesome with a chunky gold choker or purple scarf...the eye sees what is closest to the face.

Holly, believe me, I tried red on and it is not pretty. And pink and orange? Fuggedabout. I don't even wear red nail polish. I am a French manicure girl.

It's all good though...I like wearing dark colors and let my hair be the colorful thing.

The article said that in a situation where a Master and his Alpha are in his home and others are invited over, that the Alpha is dominant over even other Masters when it comes to following house rules. If her Master is not there she is to be accorded the same respect as if she were that Master since she is basically his stand in at that point. It stressed that she should be respectful, yet others were to look to her to dictate house rules and permissible behavior if that was necessary.

In our household, while the Butler or Chatelaine may speak on our behalf, the idea would not be that xhe would -ever- be given inclination to think that xhe was dominant over a visitor. Xhe would provide information, as a SERVICE, and would abide, hirself, by the rules of the household--offering the explanation that House rules compelled hir to behave in XYZ manner, but xhe would never be expected to boss a visitor around or behave as if xhe owned the house in our absence.

I can sort of see where the OP is going with this, but I think it is a matter of perspective. See, in our household, a servant, regardless of the rank xhe's earned, is -never- the one holding authority. Xhe may hold responsibility, but that is an extension of -service-. In the same way, a servant-trainer, butler or chatelaine may hold responsibility for the management of other servants in the household -- but, again, that is NOT an expression of authority, and any questions requiring authority to manage must come to me or to one of the other Keepers within the House. Hir service may require managing others, but if I were to see that xhe was mis-using hir position, as sure as the sun rises at dawn, xhe would hold it no longer... and if I were to hear such from a visitor in our house, you can bet your bottom dollar that hir descent from the lofty heights to which xhe'd raised hirself would be swift... and most likely quite difficult.

My Sir and i had a play party at our house - where my feathered kids live - and a 'dominant" insisted on annoying them - especially the sensitive african grey. I have to say, i didn't wait for my Sir to take care of it - i got up in his face and told him to leave the birds alone!

Guess what? - he did, and never came back. Shucks, my bad

Where my kids - human and feathered - are concerned, I can get into anyones face.

and I didn't need to read a thesis on protocol. Common sense works for me.

I submit to one. Doesn't matter how many others submit to him, I'm not one of them. And my house, my rules. So you can smoke like a chimney in your own house but not in mine.

Prinsexx.....actually Princess...an Old Guard term for Alpha slave.
My service is five star no matter who's in my house. Ask anyone who's been here.
What I serve and to whom I serve it would be decided upon by my Master....simples.
(And when I was a vanilla wife I was five star also. Ask any of my ex husbands).
edited for five star spelling

Real redheads like us can not wear red, I know. Or pink or orange. Maybe a bit of like a salmonly color, but I agree, dark colors. It's all about the hair. .

I know that each relationship is different, but I was curious to hear other's thoughts on this.  Is this the way that it works in your dynamic?  Do you feel that it is appropriate?  (I am neither for or against the idea - just thought that it was interesting since I had never thought about it before.)

As others have said, this for me falls under basic manners and not specifically BDSM protocols:  guests follow the house rules.  My spouse enforces my rules when I am not there (and when I am, for that matter, sometimes).

Also wanted to add that I echo others who said it's not about being dominant over the guests.

OP:   OUR house, OUR rules.

(Confused)

Does this mean Alpha will now be expecting a text from me "Afore play" ???

Subs are kind of a dime a dozen...Or 850 a pop if coming out of Texas.

Those salt water fish are rather pricey critters.

It seems that only a small percentage of posts are something wholly new (which is why I fade out for months and then fade in for weeks and then out for months and ... )

Then again, sex and kink and perv isn't wholly new either.

There is rust colored jello? serriously, what flavor is that?

I too took this as 'non-BDSM' and obvious. If a Dominant man is in someone's home and the submissive who lives there tells him 'no smoking in the house', i assume he steps out on the porch. If he didn't like that she failed to say 'Sir', he could take it up with her Dominant later, i suppose. I expect anyone I am not in a power exchange with to treat me as another fully licenced human being.

It reminds me of the 'host and guest' quandry that I spent half of my childhood kivitching about to my dear grandmother who raised me - If I am host, the polite thing to do is what I think my gues would most like to do. If I am guest, the polite thing to do is whatever my host suggests. So said my Granny, anyway. I wonder how I ended up submissive?
