I'm actually pro-business and pro-international trade. Definitely the minority around here on the latter.

I still don't think they should determine elections. That's what we have citizens for.

Actually if you disagree with the position of your labor union on an election or campaign contribution you can request your portion of funding back and you will receive it.

LMFAO. Try it as a member of SEIU or Teamsters. good luck on your next appeal.

LMAO at the righteous indignation of the lefties, who seem to forget that Obama is the first POTUS candidate to not accept public funds, because he could raise more money than McCain...including huge corporate and union donations. This ruling will help the Dems far more than the GOP.

If you don't like a company...don't buy their product...simple...  Corporations are owned and controlled by the shareholders who own them...the American people.... Obviously you communist types hate corportations, or any form of free enterprise as best I can figure, and it shows.  Well, guess what....with unemployment being what it is....people are very PRO American business at the moment and you socialist types are losing influence every day....big time.  So soon, it really won't matter what the hell you think about anything....vote and live and let live..... we don't want to hear more big blowhard lib bloviations and railings against American commerce..... Corporations have killed far fewer people in this world than liberal dictators all over the planet.... Go straighten out North Korea, and then after you have shown socialisim actually works somewhere, then make your case...until then.... I think the rest of us would appreciate less lame blowhard lib crap.... it only tells people how dumb and confused you are..... trust me.... don't believe me...go into any small town and start running that Obama crap and you will be escorted to the city limits....by a host of people that just don't want to hear about it.... got it?

.......yanno, it's posts like this that maintain the image of the ignorant American.

Allow me to suggest that a little more education may be a good thing. Specifically an education that actually contains a definition of what Socialism is. Because while posters like this are so obviously misunderstanding the debate then things can not be improved.

no you belong on the E Pluribus Unum thread. how droll is this? so, since obamamation can raise more money from the people, what the fuck are republicans even here for? you are not the party of the people, you are a drain on our society, and you need to go to the oppressors of the people to get your money to propagandize your minions.

Jesus!!! What is it with you neo-cons that see one cow with horns and intonate, all cows have horns?

He was simply the first to take advantage of the power of a 5 dollar bill and the internet.......

What difference does it make if someone in congress wears a nascar patch on his suit or a union label ? They are each paid for by special interests.

Constitutional Amendments are very difficult to ratify. On this issue, it will never happen.

It is true that they are hard to ratify.   But- isn't it better for them to spend their money fighting that, instead of the perpetual, longer and longer  election campaign?

If I'm not mistaken, Obama said that he wouldn't take public funds and lied again. He took the money.

If that's the tone you want to set--lmao at yours.

Historically Republicans have raised far more money than Democrats.

Unless you want to take the position that Obama has single-handedly brought about widespread and permanent change.
