.... As a sub I would expect my dom/domme to have the full range of human emotions.

So if their mom died, or dad died, and they didn't cry, I would be frightened, and I would probably want out. I want a lover, not a sociopath... Even my 'never shed tears' father cried for several days when his mom died.

But of course I'm a sub, not a dom. So how willing a dom is to cry depends on the dom

OrionAndi -> RE: Crying (2/6/2010 9:03:33 AM)

I think any man who can't cry in front of his love doesn't really love them.

I never cry in public (for VERY old reasons) but I've learn over time to trust my lady so I can show her I'm upset about something. Also, crying for a bloke is like saying you're weak but I enough love and trust in her that I know whatever the reason she'll never take the piss or use it as ammo if we argue. In the past I cried alone. Now I cry in her arms. And the pain heals ten times faster.

Is it OK for a Dom to cry? Hell yeah. Or else you have a totally emotionally dead psycho-killer on your hands.

MY GOD OF COURSE IT IS. Ask yourself is okay for a HUMAN to cry? I sure as hell didn't matter that my subbie was present when my father died in 05. I cried for two hours straight.

One of the most Dominant men I've ever met cried in my arms once and I will never forget how amazing it was to receive the gift of his true emotions.

Doing ANYTHING that counters social stereotypes takes more balls than following them.

I can't cry.  (Unless onions are used.)  I don't know why that is - there are times I tried to force it because I wanted the emotional release.

That doesn't make me any more or less of a Dom.

Is it ever acceptable for a Dom to Cry?

of course, Doms/Dommes are human. (most of them)

Nslavu -> RE: Crying (3/9/2010 7:35:25 AM)

Avoidance of crying and or emotional release is not only karmic but physical destruction. Doesn't mean everyone should cry at all of the same things, because this depends largely on how the person interprets life's circumstances in regards to loss, betrayal, guilt, shame, joy and all the other triggers. It also depends on how balanced one is to a variety emotional stimulus. When someone says "it's tearing me up inside", it really is. You can implode or explode or feel balanced. [8D]

Is it acceptable for a Dom to pee? No ffs, better your kidneys explode and your liver turns green.

Doms do what they want...slaves accept. Be yourself

DomBlade64 -> RE: Crying (3/15/2010 6:10:52 PM)

Doms are human too. The fact that the Dom can stand up after a beating is what attracts all the poor little subbies to the Dom.

dragon200070 -> RE: Crying (4/27/2010 3:01:44 PM)

I'm a Dom. I cried when my parents died (from cancer). I cried again when my slave was diagnosed with cancer. We cry for the really huge events only. A Dom should be well controlled at all times.
