I gave my ex a house...... nothing in the, "lifestyle" has come anywhere near that.

Incidentally, I got the best end of that deal....:)

The real question is did she come on CM and complain about you?

I think the point was less the tone and more that subs don't automatically get coddled cause they are the subby-wubbys.

And yes I feel silly today damn it.

Oh! Gotcha.

And of course you feel silly, you've got ivy leaves stuck all over your body.

That's not silly, it's sexy. Silly is when I wear the booth bunny costume!

Good point by the beautiful man.

I was just thinking that I should give you points for being pretty damn awesome in recent commentaries I've seen...but now it would seem like a cheap award for mere flattery and might lose substance...

Aw, who am I kidding!?

20 points!

General reply - what's the best anti-nausea medication out there? Recommendations would be welcome  .

In the case of threads like this one, a bottle of good vodka and a sledgehammer. Why do you ask *grins*

i've noticed something over the years on line that when a submissive woman comes on line complaining about how her dom treated her , all sympathy goes to her and every one clucks about what a bastard he was

i never could understand that , i feel the presumption of innocence should be with the dom and that the submissive may have committed some transgression

it seems to me that the dynamic of what this is supposed to be about would point in that direction

i'd like others thoughts

How about, instead of making any presumptions, the truth of the matter be pursued in an unbiased way.

Cause I don't have a cute enough picture that I'm willing to put up yet.

People get sympathy when it appears sympathy is deserved, if it is not then they don't it makes no difference if it is a woman or a man.

The whole more dom than they can handle seems a little odd as a statement to me, I have never met a man more dominant than I can handle number one because I do not handle dominants and also because it isnt about more or less it is about ability to lead and compatibility.

Hear, hear!

It isn't about he's too dominant for me. It's about he lied upfront about what he wanted and then was shocked when I say we aren't compatible when he reveals the truth about what he really wants. At which point he whines because a twue submittive would take it, even from a liar who they cannot ever again trust and respect.

~FR~

While I am of the camp that says there are three things happening - this person's side, that person's side, and the truth.... I happen to also think that responsibility lays between both people, but not evenly.  Responsibility is skewed more toward the M-side of things.  You want to be in charge?  Want to be the one who makes the decisions?  You want someone who surrenders and obeys?  You get to be the one who takes the fall, too.  You also get the kudos when things go right as well... not equally but also skewed toward you.

It is inherently the M-type's role to be the one upon whom the responsibility falls.  You don't want that, then go be a Top and play with a bottom.  And that is totally cool too.

The only responsibility the s-type has is to be honest and themselves and do their absolute best at following what is put forth.  That's it.  *IMO of course*

Many a time people are chastised on here for being less than honest - to the other person or to themselves.  M-type, s-type - doesn't matter.  To expect honesty, transparency, vulnerability, you must also be the one who holds the reins and who maintains the responsibility of all that entails.  Don't come crying here telling us how your s-type screwed up when there were lots of signs that something was wrong.   Same goes for s-types who admit to being less than they agreed to be.

Best,
sunshine

See I see what you are saying but lets look as though it was a job if a staff members till is down then you blame poor training, when it happens over and over again you stop blaming poor training and start saying that perhaps the staff member shouldn't be on the tills.

I have seen instances where the problem stems from the dominant but certainly not all. What if the submissive isnt surrendering and obeying I mean if that is the premise that it is the dominants being to blame that they have this toy to play with and if they break it then it is their fault. I believe in personal responsibility regardless of oriantation, being a submissive doesn't mitigate that.

I don't think there is a catch all generalisation regarding any relationship regardless of power dynamic. Of course that is just my view, as I said I do see where you are coming from, with great power comes great responsibility and all that
