Peoples and tribes more ancient than christianity have used altered states of consciousness as religious experiences whether through the endorphin rush of pain or through chemical substances or through deprivation. We really need to rename this section to Fear and Loathing.

Who the hell am I to say that another's spanking is morally wrong? And I consider JP II to be one of the greatest men of the 20th century due to his actions. This revelation does nothing to diminish him in my eyes.
