are there any subs who are expecting a non-professional relationship that actually pay a tribute to a Domme? The reason I ask this is a Domme and I were recently emailing back and forth and things seemed to be going well, but after a few emails she said that I needed to give her a cash gift in order to prove myself as 'genuine.' It just seems wrong to ask for cash in order to start a real D/s relationship outside of the professional realm. Maybe someone could shed some light on the subject...

Usually I just say something like, "Sorry, but I'm looking for a personal relationship, not a professional relationship," and quit talking to them. But lately, more and more my reply is something more like, "Wow, what a coincidence! Because of all of the gold-digging psuedo-dommes out there that try to take unfair advantage of subs and not give anything in return I've had to start charging tribute too, so that I can know the domme is genuine!" That's usually the end of it.

Igor, I love that! They aren't professionals because they don't propose to exchange services for money. They're scammers because they solicit money for nothing.

thanks for the welcome focus50, and I did focus tell her thanks but no thanks. IT just seemed a little odd to me and was wondering if anyone was falling for these types of Dommes. If I was looking for a Pro I would pay one, but one that asks me to pay just to verify my realness? Do many Dommes like this try to take advantage of "weak" minded subs? Do any of them get away with it? I'm submissive but not stupid.

Well, I would hope not! If you don't go in knowing their pro from the beginning, anybody that would pay anybody else anything is just asking to get fleeced. You did the right thing.

I would write her back and tell her you hadn't thought of that, but yes it is an outstanding idea. Then I would tell her I would be more than happy to send her some cash to prove you are genuine, right after you receive her check for $100 proving she is also genuine. I mean it works both ways right? Now then, after she dumps you, because she realizes she's not going to get lucky today, write the following on a piece of paper. " I will never give money to ANYONE on the internet" Paste the paper on the top of your monitor where you can see it when your on CM and continue your search. Good luck with that.
