Jeff, slowly back away.  It's nowhere near as amusing under that bridge as it is under DG's.

He's leaping on the leftist bandwagon. Change we can believe in - no more global warming.

Problem is, the news lags behind in whatever cave it is that he's hiding in and so he may not know for another year or two that the global warming religion has been exposed as a fraud...

The sweet irony is delicious.

Must you turn every discussion into a partisan debate?

But since you want to, let's try and remember who promised to get Bin Laden "dead or alive" and who failed to live up to that promise.

And lets try and remember who had the opportunity to kill him once and capture him once and passed on them.

It's a sad day when even the world's most wanted terrorist has more credibility on this issue than the American right wing... but here we are.

And let's try to remember the facts behind that as well:

FactCheck.org: Did Bill Clinton pass up a chance to kill Osama

Q:
Did Bill Clinton pass up a chance to kill Osama bin Laden? Was Bill Clinton offered bin Laden on "a silver platter"? Did he refuse? Was there cause at the time?
A:
Probably not, and it would not have mattered anyway as there was no evidence at the time that bin Laden had committed any crimes against American citizens.

"It's populism, pure and simple," Kohlmann said. - quote from article.

Populism from the wikionay

(philosophy) A political doctrine or philosophy that proposes that the rights and powers of ordinary people are exploited by a privileged elite, and supports their struggle to overcome this.

WHAT!?

The kill chance is well documented by his own staff. The capture chance he admitted at the LI luncheon.

We should have dropped a nuke on Afghanistan near the Pakistan border. Then he would know the true meaning of 'global warming'..

You know you're using up oxygen that humans could be using, right?

Back in your basket.

servantforuse -> RE: Bin Laden: US responsible for global warming... (1/30/2010 7:54:41 PM)

Had we dropped a nuke over there, we would also have a more cooperative attitude with Iran right now. All of this worthless talk does absolutely nothing except make thing worse.

Musicmystery -> RE: Bin Laden: US responsible for global warming... (1/30/2010 8:05:31 PM)

We'd also be breathing clouds of radioactive dust and facing a very angry China, Russia, and Pakistan.

Join reality.

servantforuse -> RE: Bin Laden: US responsible for global warming... (1/30/2010 8:09:44 PM)

We wouldn't still be getting these annoying messages from Osama though.

Make it a couple of hundred MOABs then you wont have to listen to the envirnomental concerns from fallout. Not quite as hot, but he wont know the difference after the first nanosecond.

Weird, I feel the same about this board.

WildRebel -> RE: Bin Laden: US responsible for global warming... (1/30/2010 8:21:51 PM)

The United States does cause a lot of pollution, but Bin Laden judging us is beyond laughable.  We're talking about criticism from a terrorist and mass murderer.  Exactly what is he doing to help the world out again, eliminating some of the polluters?

You know Willbeur, you throw out these comments and say things are "well-documented" yet you never document anything to substantiate your arguments.

Because going back and rehashing things that have already done ad nauseum in this soap opera of a board is not how I choose to spend my time. Use the search facility if you want to waste yours.

I agree.  If he were alive he would be the arab special reporter for FOX; fair and balanced.

rockspider -> RE: Bin Laden: US responsible for global warming... (1/31/2010 4:16:27 AM)

The American foreign politics has for many decades been that the big and nasty enemy was the reds. Anything figthing the reds was Americas friends. That attitude has landed them in bed with some pretty unpalatable bedfellows over the years. Osama just been one of them Nothing new in it really. At the COP15, Robert Mugabe was sitting among the world leaders and beaming like a fat pig. When a massmurderer, psychopat and evil dicatator like that, has to be afforded any form of curtesy , bar a set of handcuffs and a fast trip to a court for standing to face charges for human rights violations. I am sad to say i don't have much faith in those world leaders. [:'(]
