Do you even know what the word "glee" means? One more seat for the GOP sounds more like a statement of fact than glee.

And its not an ad hominems julia, its also a statement of fact. You're always playing the poor, indefensible, miserable little beat up woman. You're crying about this, and isn't it horrible. Then you're crying about that, and isn't it horrible. From one thread to the next thats your MO, you're a walking tragedy waiting to happen.

Once everyone catches on again they'll quit playing your little game again and you'll move on again.

I know that every time I read a political thread anything that seems like it is bad for Obama is jumped on like a sign of hope from above... and the usual suspects are here on this thread pointing out how this death is going to be good for their side... kinda like vultures...

Rob will be so happy.

Nope, I actually admired the guy, despite his shady dealings.

He served with honor, and then stood firm in his belief the the war in Iraq was wrong.

My condolences go out to his family.

From Newsbusters:

Politico Glosses Over Murtha's Haditha Smear

David Rogers glossed over the late Rep. Jack Murtha's (D-Pa.) Haditha Marines smear in an obituary published yesterday and updated this morning at Politico:
Rather than lie low, Murtha further made himself a target with public comments in the spring of 2006 pressuring the Marine command to investigate allegations of civilian casualties at Haditha, Iraq. This infuriated many Marines, and critics argued that the congressman had become more partisan himself out of loyalty to Pelosi.
But Murtha went beyond pressing for a formal military investigation, which is a legitimate call any congressman could and should make after an incident like Haditha. The former Marine practically declared the Marines at Haditha guilty by saying they have killed "in cold blood."  Yet Murtha's baseless smear is not substantiated by the facts. As the Washington Post noted yesterday in an update to its obituary on Murtha:
Eight Marines were originally charged with murder or failing to properly report or investigate the killings. Charges against six were dropped, and one was acquitted. A court martial for sole remaining defendant has not yet scheduled.

Jesus, the man is not even in his grave yet.
We went through this with Kennedy too.
Do you people have any sense of decency?

He is singing that song 'I'm dancing in the rain' in his head but has substituted the 'in the rain' part for 'on his grave'.

Yeah, its not quite possible in any military situation, to be the only one.

Sanity, that newsbusters bullshit don't equate with reality.

It is just to abyssmal to even consider responding to.

You mean he did his job for his constituents?

Sanity, try posting the whole story.

servantforuse -> RE: Murtha in Intensive Care (2/9/2010 5:11:27 PM)

One of the reasons this country is in the shape it is in is because of guys like Murtha. Spending as much money as you can get your hands on doesn't make you a good Senator. He is a United States Senator who happened to represent one state. His job is to do what is best for the entire country.

tazzygirl -> RE: Murtha in Intensive Care (2/9/2010 5:23:10 PM)

ummm.. doesnt each State have their own? The President is there to represent the country. He is elected by every state. Each Congressman/woman is voted in by their respective States. They are there to represent their states.

Wasn't Murtha in the House?

servantforuse -> RE: Murtha in Intensive Care (2/9/2010 5:30:23 PM)

Yes, he was in the House...

tazzygirl -> RE: Murtha in Intensive Care (2/9/2010 6:14:39 PM)

Eh... im entitled to a mistake. Same difference in the House. Again, elected by the State, not the US as a whole.

Not even by a state - a district. In some cases, an area  as a small as a single city, or even a portion of a city.Their role was  intended by the framers to be representative of small groups of people. That's the whole point - senators represent the entire state, representatives represent local interests. They have a different mission, a different focus. They are, theoretically, intended to be advocates of the common people.

Bullshit, he maligned US soldiers over Haditha for political gain. He was a disgrace to the military he once served and the country as a whole.

Its your attacks on the messenger that are abysmal. Newsbuster's facts are wholly accurate and their links pan out, and you can't dispute it so you make this pathetically weak attempt to discredit the source.

What facts are you in denial about. That Murtha denounced the Haditha Marines as guilty of mass murdering innocent civilians before all the facts were in? Absolutely. Its undeniable that he did. Were the Marines proven not guilty in the court of law? Again, undeniable - they were found not guilty.

Are you denying that Murtha's despicable attacks on America's servicemen made him an absolute hero in the eyes of many Liberals who were using the Iraq war politically to get at George Bush? Are you denying that American service men and women have reason to loathe Jack Murtha?

While I'm not dancing on that bastards grave as poor poor julia contends, I sure as hell don't miss him.
