ORIGINAL: Musicmystery What patronizing bullshit. We understand him fine. We disagree with him. That's the difference between oracles and people with opinions. Has it boiled down to you only see what you want to see and hear what you want to hear, summarily dismissing anything that doesn't fit within your political construct? What ever in the world happened to just plain, good ole common sense? I look through so many threads here and it truly reminds me of a bunch of bickering children! Of course, I'm not saying everyone here as the propensity to act like a child at times, but it seems pretty common. edited to add that even if Obama were Einstein, he's not smart enough to run my life, or anyone else's for that matter. Nope. It's boiled down to you summarily dismissing anything that disagrees with what fits into yours. Pages of argument here. All you've got is "I'm truly not understanding why the difficulty is in grasping the just of Merc's post." If you like Merc's assumptions, fine. To quite a few of the rest of us, it's fauxtrage, parroting a publicity moment from the mayor of Vegas earlier this week. Playing some kind of "I called it first! You're dismissing my claim!" is childish bullshit. Call it bickering if you like. If you want to play with the big kids, you'll need more than scolding--people disagree. You're thrusting aside the arguments why, particularly that just because Merc frames something in a preconceived box doesn't mean the lemmings have to march behind him. Why do you suppose your vision is crystal clear, and those who disagree are dismissive? That must be nice, knowing you have special powers. How's that work for you? Debating is met with debating. Patronizing bullshit is met with being called on it. I don't see why this is so hard to understand....common sense and all....... [;)]
