ORIGINAL: Aynne88 Isn't that a cool site? :) seems pretty comprehensive. the budget tho is very tight- I can tho gather ideas on what is desirable- I do think my body needed "something" recently- and that goes with getting older I suppose. Once you decide which,if any, supplements you want, keep your eye on the ads. Many of the superstores and drug stores- Krogers, Meijers, Walgreens, CVS, etc- often run a buy one get one sale on their vitamins and supplements. Read labels, however, to make sure you are getting the maximum amount of herb, and not a bunch of fillers. The herbal industry is pretty much unregulated, so the amount of active ingredient can vary widely from brand to brand, and even supplemnts within the same brand. The products sold at health food stores are probably more "pure", with less inert ingredients; however I've found that they also tend to be much higher priced. It's often possible to achieve near the same effect with mass produced items on sale with careful shopping and label reading. I live near a surplus store. They started carrying bins and bins full of you name it. So that is what prompted me. So- far- I would say 1/2 to .75 of my picks have been good ones. I like to stock up on things I use regularly. When we get to summer- I likely will not take as much. But during cold and flu season- proper nutrician is a must. I manage to eat better in the summer. :-)
