Status: offline 		All of this that happened, is why I firmly believe that a safe word needs to go along with self defense classes.

Taped, I suggest that when/if you go back to get your things, take stock of everything around you that can be used as a weapon in your defense. I don't mean the usual thoughts, like knives, bats and such, but for example, things thrown at his legs so he either trips up, or has to dodge. Keep away from walls and corners that he can back you into, and if he does, go for the instep of the foot, not the groin or the eyes, because that is the first places ANY one will protect.

As a habit, any slave/sub/pet of mine, I make sure they can defend against me, if ever needed ( mostly because I was trained in fighting arts. ) There is always a possibility that I can get so enthralled with a scene that a safe word might not register. In fact, this is a possibility for anyone. Food for thought.

Status: offline 		Even though this is completely off topic - i don't know how your child could NOT blame you. You bought this man into her life, and for all intents and purposes, allowed him to rape her. I'm not saying you let him rape her, but this couldn't have just happened out of thin air - there had to be occurances that lead up to it.

and i know of what i speak - i was in an abusive relationship and my kids did blame me for not protecting me or them. And rightfully so. Don't kid yourself- your kid does blame you, even if she is too afraid to say so. After all, apparently you are the only stable aspect in her life right now - she isn't going to risk pissing you off and maybe getting the boot.

At any rate, I hope TapedCookie maybe has a better understanding now of why a lot of posters were "unsympathetic" and insisted she look at personal responsibility.  What happened to her sucked, but at least she only hurt herself.  Other people come on the boards, get advice, follow none of it, do something monolithically stupid, and get their children traumatized for life.  It can get aggravating.

You say your child is doing well, except you forget to realize she is STILL dealing with this. This JUST happened to HER - not you. YOU should be focusing on her needs, her health, her mental state, her emotional state. NOT on yourself and your new master. Damn!

You ARE responsible for what happened to your child. YOU were so focused on your then master and your new master, that you COMPLETELY neglected to pay attention to his interactions with your daughter!

And then you go on to say you are completely happy and your child is doing well? You are obviously STILL not paying attention to your daughter. GET her some help at least, forget about yourself for a moment or three and think of HER!

Again, DAMN!

As for the OP, I am glad you realize you had a part in the outcome. I am not sorry you experienced this, things like this CAN be a valuable lesson to learn. I am happy that you discovered what he was about before you ended up severely injured and I do hope you do not consider going back to him.
