Status: offline 		I am a sub, and Im not exactly looking for a dommee. But i was just wondering, what kind of punishments do you guys use? What seems most effective? What if you have a masochist? than what do you do? Tell me the worst punishments you've given.

Take a caning for example. I know my girl can take a few strokes, I know some who can take hundreds, I know one who'd run a mile if I got my big cane out (yeah yeah fnar fnar)...

So what sounds worst to you?

What a Dom/me will do, if they're worth the bother, will get to know you, test a few things out perhaps, find out what things rock your boat and what they can do to discipline you when you fuck up.

Status: offline 		I find it strange that people are always asking about punishments.  Why not ask about rewards instead?

Anyway, I'm not a child who needs regular punishment or rewards.  I'm an adult in an adult relationship.

Status: offline 		Make her write an essay on why she misbehaved and how she will correct the behavior in the future. Being a masochist would not matter to me. I would not beat someone as punishment. That is saved for good behavior.

Status: offline 		I am a sub also, but not just a "bdsm submissive."  It is my nature to be found pleasing.  If I don't think I have pleased someone well, I remind myself that I am a bad girl, even though I am not.   How much more punishment should I recieve than emotionally and psychologically beating myself up?  Since my Sir knows this about me and figured it out very quickly, I am not "punished" like alot of others I read about on bdsm boards.

Are dommes any different than doms?  I think not.  It sounds to me that you possibly might think doms are men that punish without reason and punish harshly as if no woman ever did so. 
 
Emotional punishment is the worst in my book.  Belong to my mother for one week. 

Effective discipline is called "effective" as if corrects an error and if suitable for a particular person.
 
I don't look for things to be bad about, I look for things to be pleasing to him.
If I am rewarded, it is his desire.  When I need correction he gives it without emotionally destroying me.

Status: offline 		None of the above. We talk about what happened, how we came to misunderstand each other, what was fueling the problem and try to solve it for the future.

If he wanted me to do something and I didn't have a good reason for not being able to, just chose not to because I was angry and resentful then punishment would make the resentment worse and not better.

I have been given a few spanks as a pro forma punishment so I could stop feeling guilty but that wasn't to solve the problem, but just to help me. We had already solved the problem, it was entirely a miscommunication.
