get some fucking meds, this is not about a war, bismark is not an insurgent hotspot at the moment, hasnt been since probably the last big dakota war a little after custer. 1872 Souix uprising or so. pretty mellow there right now.

the peril is that every country that has troops on the streets will have those troops used AGAINST its own people.

therefore it must be used with extreme caution.    the snow storm is a good example.  it snows every year-- we expect snow- but now Pitt "needs" troops.   where only a few months ago- 1st amendment people had their hearing permanently damaged by sound blasts.

anyhow- I am sure the locals can find a solution to the problems.

you are an agent of JPMorgan.

Now it was great that we stole the Indians land?

Maybe we could ask the Lacota peoples.    They might have a view about "troops".

jesus, you are fucked up. The ND air national guard and the ND army national guard is fucking local and local people. The reason they are needed in Pittsburgh as well as Bismark is that you aint going to get off your lazy ass to shovel no snow, and neither is your neighbor, you want it fixed but will not help bake the bread, harvest or sow the wheat.

but you still want to eat the bread.

who the fuck is the lacota peoples? arguing from ignorance and about something totally unrelated and being proud of it is not the way you want to grow up son.

Lakota, as in Dakota(got it?) because they are a band or tribe of the Dakota Nation of Sioux people.
lacota is a software place

The closest indian reservation to bismark is going to be northwest some 100 miles or so. And the 'troops' coming in to build housing there is a far cry from Sitting Bull et al dying in 1890 whole different deal.

It would be like you refusing to breathe forever because you caught the flu as a child. Try to get a frame of reference and reality here.

Uh, no....there will be investors and all sorta housing going up in time.

That is clay area and have you ever tried to dig frozen clay? especially that yellow shit? I dont know which clay is out there, but that yellow shit can be frozen in late june.

still alotta below zero weather out there. the jobs are now, the people are now. takes time to build and in that area they are going to need at least 3 or 4 or 5 foot frost footings for buildings there to get below the frost line so the building dont crumble, the tent city can be set up now, and the building can commence this spring after the frost is out.

Great post and idea's from someone who lives in the same geographical area and understands the problem well.
There is no reason that tent city can't be set up soon, I intend to follow this story as much as possible,

If you want an example as to why the federal govt. should not get involved in building apartments, just look at any major city in the country. They are called public housing projects and every last one of them is either being torn down or it is a slum. Hillside in Milwaukee and Cabrini Green in Chicago are two that come to mind here in the Midwest.

It must suck being you....At no point was public housing being discussed.  Even if it were public housing  that ws beng constructed why would you compare public housing that was built in late 50's to that which is being constructed today?

This is housing that would be utilized to support working folk.

Remember when I said that I have known immigrants that have arrived in the U.S.in the last ten years, without a a working knowledge of the language, and have accomplished more than all of the servantsforuse ever have since they first stepped foot off the Mayflower?   Let me amend that..I imagine it would take them a matter of days to replicate  all that you and your kin have ever accomplished.

Why did I type this out?  Why even engage you?

Lawd, I agree with you Domi.
Come worship me and kiss my feet.

servant, has his own ways of thinking.
He is so anti-government {expect when it comes to cashing his government paychecks},
that he is becoming obsessed with any form of government assistance or intervention.

servant, where should the stimulus money be going? to the banks?
Did you read the article I posted?
Surely you have a heart.

Did you read about the man that drove 700 miles from Colorado and is working {and looking for a second job} and sometimes sleeps in his truck?
What better use of "stimulus" money is there?

Instead of 'following' the story why don't you try and help create the story MzMia? Get together with neighbors, church organizations and local businesses. Get donations going and buy the tents yourself. Disperse them to those that need them instead of staying inside and reading about it on the internet.

Actually that is a good idea Camille.
But, I already have MANY local service projects and people that I am already helping.

If you have the time, maybe you can actually do what you suggested I do.
I will then be able to follow what you are doing.

I would never presume or suggest what a total stranger should do with their life.
But to each their own.

But as always, it really does take all kinds in this world.
Now, let me go find other things to read about so I can stay inside and post more issues on the internet.

If the government builds it, it will be public housing. How can you call it anything else.?
