Singer John Mayer ignited a media storm on Wednesday with a no-holds barred Playboy magazine interview in which he described former girlfriend Jessica Simpson as "sexual napalm" and confessed an aversion to sleeping with black women.

Mayer, 32, the bluesy writer of hits like "Gravity" and "Your Body is a Wonderland", also spoke of his passion for pornography and abiding love for ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, describing her as "the most communicative, sweetest, kindest person".

But it was the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter's comments about black women, widely perceived as racist, that set the Internet alight and fast became one of the top three most popular topics on Twitter.

He also just did an interview for Rolling Stone, where he mentioned looking for the "Joshua Tree of vaginas".

Katy, he can play the shit out of the guitar, but he does seem to have a problem with the on/off switch in his mouth. But, as much as I may disagree with him on some things, I'd rather him speak his mind, than not.

Jeff: hell yeah! I am the UN of love

He needs to have a manager with the controls to a shock collar that's around his neck sitting in on his interviews.

I don't know how racist it actually is...You do have preferences.

At the same time if I am a musician with paying customers I would bite my tongue when it came to potentially disenfranchising a portion of my paying audience.

Dumb- dumb.

I don't own any of his music. Which is saying something.

I always thought he was kind of a drag....Burried in pussy, yes, but still kind of a drag.

red: yeah, I didn't care for him for a long time, 'till he started jamming a bit more; the whole "Your Body Is A Wonderland" stuff, phhht.

DG: True, he's doing himself no favors; he may be opening for Michael Richards if he keeps this up.

But yes, we do have preferences. But calling his dick the "David Duke".....

Every knucklehead with a guitar thinks they can speak on important issues. They could all learn something from this.

Nigel is playing a soft piece on the piano]
Marty DiBergi: It's very pretty.
Nigel Tufnel: Yeah, I've been fooling around with it for a few months.
Marty DiBergi: It's a bit of a departure from what you normally play.
Nigel Tufnel: It's part of a trilogy, a musical trilogy I'm working on in D minor which is the saddest of all keys, I find. People weep instantly when they hear it, and I don't know why.
Marty DiBergi: It's very nice.
Nigel Tufnel: You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really. It's sort of...
Marty DiBergi: What do you call this?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, this piece is called "Lick My Love Pump".

I also have none of his music and don't listen to any stations that play his stuff.  At least we know that Jessica is wild, at least by his standards.  Waiting for Romo or Corgan to speak out.

I thought his music was ok.  I think I'm done listening, which is a shame.  He let his mouth override his music.   I'll leave more room for the fans only his dick loves.  I hope he enjoys his new sales numbers.

Whadda ya wanna bet when things really get bad, he'll end up in some kind of rehab.  Sure they'll create a**hole rehab just for him.

loser

I'm sure Romeo, I mean, Romo, held his own, but she's probably wearing Corgan out.

DJ, he drinks quite a bit, it seems, so he may indeed end up in rehab. I don't think that'll fix his mouth, though.
