ORIGINAL: XtremeDomUk George Bernard Shaw described England and the US as two countries separated by a common language. This thread is making me think we are separated by food as well - grits and nilla biscuits are completely foreign to a Brit like me! Make you a deal. You send me some salt and vingar crisps (I don't know why but I SWEAR ya'll have better chips!), the Cradberry eggs I'm told ya'll can get year-round, raspberry PIMs and I'll send you a care package of grits (they'll have to be instant but it depends on what kind you use as to if they suck or not), Nilla wafers, and bagels. I don't know what the deal is but an Australian visiting the US nearly creamed over our bagels. Evidently the ones in Australia suck so she always thought she hated them. She ended up taking several bags back with her. Dont do it! As a Brit(ish) (ha, see what I did there) who has tasted these "grits", I know that they are tasteless even when covered in butter and cheese. As an experiment I once added half a jar of cayenne pepper and paprika, the grits soaked up all the flavour with not a trace to be found in the finished product. Send her some creme eggs though, we need to get rid of those bastards.
