$944.00 a month.... for a 178 sq ft, that's the wow lol

then again that's new york for you, every inch has value lol

DarlingSavage -> RE: 178 Sq Ft (2/12/2010 1:46:51 AM)

I have to agree with pyro about the cost of that place, but still, he did a magnificent job of decorating. WOW!

Louve00 -> RE: 178 Sq Ft (2/12/2010 3:28:42 AM)

I'd think $944 a month living in the city is still cheaper, more convenient and feasible than living in the desert, though.

Taken from the article...

"He has hewed to the old decorating dictum that says the more stuff you put in a room (albeit artfully arranged stuff), the bigger it seems. More really is more."

Speaking as someone who lives in a 3 room 400sq ft. cottage (just under actually, after a discussion with the landlord), I can tell you that cluttering up your space...no matter how "artfully" done is still just clutter.  That being said...I like his eclectic choices in color and furniture.

As for the rent....it's all relative to location.

That apartment is bigger than some dorm rooms I had in the military.

DesFIP -> RE: 178 Sq Ft (2/12/2010 6:05:26 AM)

Brilliant sense of style, notice how everything is lined up with precision and kept spotless. But I couldn't live in a space where I couldn't cook.

DarkSteven -> RE: 178 Sq Ft (2/12/2010 6:32:33 AM)

Different life.  I'm used to having some space, and some sprawl.

I am with you on that.   :-)   I love that I can have stuff and junk- and it up to ME- if -where-when and why. :-)

NuevaVida -> RE: 178 Sq Ft (2/12/2010 8:07:45 AM)

Extremely creative and impressive.  I could use some tips!

But, like Des, I need my kitchen.

sort of like what globalization has done to Detroit.    6 of 1- half a dozen of the other.

GreedyTop -> RE: 178 Sq Ft (2/12/2010 9:13:25 AM)

ANYWAY,,,,,,,  my Mom is probably going to be refinishing her basement so that she can avoid the stairs (arthritis, steel hip, etc).  I thought that what he's done is brilliant for limited space.
