O.k. before I make my point I just want to point out something to Brain real quick: quote:
ORIGINAL: Brain I remember Obama saying something about how we can walk and chew gum at the same time. They(Democrats) can do everything if they want to but the problem is they don't so OFullOfCrapAh keeps going on with bi-partisan bullshit because he thinks we're stupid and he can get away with. O.k. Let's recap this thread (paraphrasing): Topic: Al Franken says "Hey Uganda! Stop killing gay people!" Some people: "Yeah! You tell'em Al Franken!" Other people: "Actually, don't think he should. Not our business." You: "THAT DAMNED OBAMA!" Wtf!?! You don't like Obama. I GET it. But taking the opportunity to bash him on a completely unrelated thread makes you sound crazy. Also, "OFullOfCrapAh?" Really? You went to twist the guy's name into an insult, and that's the best you came up with? Weren't you ever in 4th grade? O.k. so anyway, Why are people throwing around terms like "Policing the world?" How many troops has Al Franken sent into Uganda? If anything Al Franken is pushing for less policing. It's the policing of sexual orientation that's the problem. Also popeye, you wrote: quote:

ORIGINAL: popeye1250 I for one am tired of interfereance in foreign countries after the Bush years! And I'm certainly not alone on that. It's commical really, Sen. Franken is against "Imperialism" but not when it involves something like this? And how is this in any way "America's business?" I would agree with you on this, except America was involved in this Ugandan bill. American evangelicals, and American politicians such as C Street Christians like Senator James Inhoff were involved in this whole mess and had a role in promoting it. Rex, I would assume that they did it on their own. Let them clean up the mess. If I make a mess do you think for one minute that the U.S. govt. is going to clean up after me? O.k., perhaps I'm missing the obvious but why would they "Clean up this mess themselves" when they pushed for the legislation in the first place? Have any of the Americans that had a hand in introducing it tried to stop Uganda? I'll wager not many. It's sort of like trusting an arsonist to put out his own fires.
