You can get unsweet tea, but you have to ask special.  [8D]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/8/2010 10:11:38 AM)

Whew!! I know from experience you gotta ASK!! [;)] I put sugar in hot tea, I cannot explain why cold sweet tea tastes undrinkably horrid to me. Like, swallow FAST it's rude to spit horrid.

I am used to folks looking at me funny, y'all can just smile tolerantly at the Yankee. [:D]

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/8/2010 10:28:05 AM)

Us Yankees kin stick together, bless our hearts.

Daddysredhead -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 2:48:57 PM)

Hibbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, un-sweet tea is available... bless all y'all's hearts. *giggle*

There's all kinds of yummy food to eat down here. I'm so tickled, I can hardly stand it. I got Friday and Monday off (the 14th and 17th), so I'm happy.

*squeeeee!!!*

DesFIP -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 2:56:37 PM)

Cold sweet tea has a lot of sugar in it. Like more than in a bottle of coke. I put two sugars in my cup of tea in the morning. Two teaspoons for 8 oz. Coke has 18 teaspoons for twelve ounces. Sweet tea has even more than that. That works out to a lot more than in my cuppa.

Now there are some incredibly sweet desserts down south, and those I'd happily devour. Chess pie anyone?

Daddysredhead -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 3:04:02 PM)

I make my own sweet tea because it's better than the stuff I get at restaurants, especially when I get factory fresh tea from Sri Lanka, but it's strong. (nice)

Yes, we do have some incredibly yummy desserts down here, Des! *thinks of Reese's peanut butter pie, and sharing it with Angel*

KMsAngel -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 6:19:17 PM)

[:(] bless your heart, red (and i truly mean that in the very very sweetest way ever possible)

i want reeses peanut butter pie!!!!!!!!!

Daddysredhead -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 10:35:30 PM)

I would share it with you in a heartbeat, Angel.  Here is a picture of it... in all its chocolatey-peanut-buttery goodness.

Bless your hearts but ya'll confuse me.

- The Aqua whose Southern accent is sadly lacking but still uses "bless her heart" and "ya'll" in normal confusion and hence confuses the Yankees.

Daddysredhead -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 10:53:12 PM)

I'll look for a kareoke place nearby, if there's one to be found.  [;)]  *woot!!!*

My accent is almost void at times, but when I'm good and relaxed, you can hear it kinda creep in... and I'm a constant user of y'all, y'all's, all y'all, and all y'all's... as well as bless your heart.  I think my South'ren creeps in when I get sleepy, giddy, or a lil tipsy.  I think gigglefits also trigger it to be more noticeable.  As in:  "C'mon y'all...  whya gotta make me lay-aff so hard?"  [:D]

KMsAngel -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 10:53:16 PM)

omg, red. i am SOOO going to make that and take it to the next office friday lunch get together! totally corrupt them and not leave extra's for me to overindulge in. i swear, just reading the ingredient's list made my blood sugars spike!

KMsAngel -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 10:54:37 PM)

can i say, red, that my northern accent is currently more southern than yours? i mean, there's not many places more southern than here!

I love a smart woman...  especially when she's accurate in her lil sassy way like that.  [;)]   *giggles*

There is nothing quite like putting a few drinks in ya an' gettin' up and beltin' out "Man I feel like a woman!" or "Whose bed have your boots been under?".

I said "lil sassy" not sassy.  There's a difference.  One's cute and wimsical and the other is smart-assy.

(It's a delicate, paper-thin difference...  those of Southern descent understand what I'm sayin' here, I'm sure.)  [;)]

GreedyTop -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 11:08:57 PM)

and ya shake it so damned purty, too!!

Daddysredhead -> RE: Red's Birthdaypalooza 2010 (4/9/2010 11:11:36 PM)
