Oooo.... I am deeply intrigued by the prospect of pictures. *grins impishly* And yes, my one tattoo does not compare with your many. And it is not very "hardcore" either. It's from a comic book.

Southern women can be quite frightening. But we like to do it in the most polite way possible.

You haz mail pretty!  The first I think is my all time favorite picture of me, I look like a Tim Burton character, which to me, is awesome.

I wanted to get Johnny the Homicidal Maniac tattooed on me, that's comic book too!

It's ok. I have to stop posting and start cleaning at some point today since I'm actually feeling better.

I have very different experiences but I have been going to stuff for a really long time, and I'd say there's rarely something I'd show up to in town where I wouldn't know someone... and even strangers seem to be nice to me. Also even out of town I know someone.. ugh.. been around too long I think.

That said, I'd suggest a few things -- I don't know that everyone is friendly, but some are -- but some, including me, are standoffish when first seeing/meeting people. I'm polite, but not effussive. Generally, I'm waiting to see if you stick around. Hate to say it, but there are so many one timers and tourists (as such) that I'm not going to invest to heavily in people who show up once and never again. YMMV -- and I won't for one minute suggest its the right attitude, but it is an attitude.

The other thing is -- people do not always know how to approach others - they don't know what kind of protocol you observe. (I have to admit here, few people are actually being that polite. I've found at larger events the idea that you should wait a bit and be polite seems lost on many.) I tend to observe a great deal of protocol in my relationship and at certain events. That means that I don't stick my hand out to shake someone else's hand... particularly a slave. I don't want my boy doing it. I don't want people approaching my boy -- they come through me. Again, that said, its her job to make sure others observe our protocol -- if I'm not around. I can't expoect others to know what I want.

I'm rambling.. sorry.. just some thoughts on events/people etc.

I went to the same event and Hubby and I felt the same thing. very clickish and almost felt like we had intruded. we did see some things that we liked, but were pretty much ignored by the people there.

Now I feel bad cuz I knew both of you were going (didn't know it was the same event but something niggled me about it) and I could have introduced you guys before you went. Sorry.

No worries blushes, I should have made a more direct thread about it.  Plus we were only there a few hours, Master had enough pretty quickly.  There's one in Boston over the summer, that will be easier as it's our town...
