"So supposedly reliable CO2 data for 50 years is being used with unreliable (per your post) temperature data for centuries to try to come up with a causal relationship. Very solid science, this AGW thing. (And btw, since even the zealots graphs show CO2 increases following, not leading, temperature increases, its irrelevant anyway.)" Well, as someone with a Ph.D. in chemistry- I've looked a lot of data in my day- and the data on CO2 increases look pretty solid. Lab experiments done in the 1950s have shown the mechanism of how gases like CO2 trap reflected photons from the ground and thereby increase the temperature of the atmosphere. The science on this is quite solid- so as far as I'm concerned, you're arguing from ignorance. Where are you on evolution? As has been noted before, the data on temperature change are much harder to interpret- and it did take 4000 scientists looking at a lot of research to reach the conclusion that anthropogenic activities were warming the planet. Dust and other particulates in the atmosphere can have a cooling effect by reflecting photons before they reach the ground, so its not surprising that the overall trend is hard to see. But until you can offer a hypotheses backed up with data - not merely your opinion or conjecture about the motives of a handful of individuals who have had no impact on the results, you're just showing your own ignorance.
