ORIGINAL: slvemike4u <snip> We have seen a holocaust denial thread go round in circles for weeks, it's existence merely an opportunity for some to repost the same images. We have seen a 911 denial thread do the same, with no resolution. These threads almost deserve some kind of "Going Nowhere" ruling, if not for the content alone. If they are not added to for a while, the OP just reposts something to put it back on the front page, so to speak. A lot of harm occurs under the guise of free speech. I believe in it, but absolutely? Ironically, I've seen a thread close because a Moderator decided it had "gone long enough folks". I don't disagree with that type of decision, only if it is inconsistent and arbitrary. I vote for closing those threads, too. They bring down the whole tone of this site. I don't even see a reason for the politics section of the thread, because none of the talk that goes on there changes people's minds. It just turns to anger and insults. Its not productive, and has little or nothing to do with BDSM except that reading an entire thread there would make a cruel punishment. I vote for taking down that whole section. It wasn't there until recently, and the site was fine without it. Why cater to the people who kept posting those pointless political threads? Admin got the sound turned off of those annoying adds on the sidebar here in like, .05 milliseconds. That was great! So I hope they can keep up the great job they're doing, stopping a lot of the nonsense that's been going on. I'm very appreciative of the mods and admin's efforts. They put a lot of time and attention into making this a great place to be. [:)]
