I don't see anybody else here that's seeing it the way you are; which, really, says quite a bit.

You mean you are surprised no one else is jumping into this maelstrom to defend me?

Do I look like I need defending? ;)

No, not what I meant at all. What I meant is that you seem pretty pleased with yourself for generating a lot of negative attention. I suppose that some people view negative attention as better than no attention at all...and I can certainly understand a self proclaimed "legend" falling into that category.

Not only do you not need defending, I find your narrow view of things indefensible. While you are entitled to believe anything you want (and to seek out compatible people that are on the same page) acting superior to those with a different view is unwarranted.

You found the 'right' way to participate in BDSM, and everybody else is woefully lacking? That pretty much seems to be what you are preaching. Sorry, but I hate that sort of ridiculous elitism. Even if I agreed with your tenets on BDSM, I don't see any reason why you would try to foist them on anyone else. People are different, they need different things, they don't fit into the same mold. Yet, you seem bent on insisting they do, just to up the views of your profile. Either you are a VERY egocentric gent, or a marketing genius- but, I'm getting the distinct feeling, from your posts, that you fall firmly into the first category.

Is any one at all curious to see the kinds of dysfunctional, trainwreck type of women that Bob attracts? O.o
I know I am.
I wish he'd link us to their profiles.

I've no interest in meaningless, multiple sexual encounters with virtual strangers.

It's pretty clear you would never have to worry about that happening to you.

Perhaps that explains why I've remained date-less for two years.

Why would anyone have interest in the above, when he's so focused on creating just meaningless, multiple encounters with virtual strangers?

sounds like a good way to spend a Saturday night.

Emotionally damaging casual BDSM, it isn't just for weekends anymore.

Not sure about mushrooms, but after reading the profile I'd have to conclude that the OP buys from a supermarket where the entire contents of the fruit and vegetable section are magic.

Apparently the Anteater doesn't have the sense of gravitas I had hoped for?

Your knowledge is valod...yet it applies to you and you alone and not to the thousands of people on this site or the millions of kinksters on this planet.

That would depend upon whether my knowledge applies to our common humanity, or just me as an individual.

Allow me to provide an example.

It is because I recognize Love as a primary requirement and primary function of our common humanity that I can and have understood the love between two men or two women to be just as valid and just as meaningful as the love between man and woman.

Love does not depend upon gender, nor individuality. It is something we all share because it is a human quality.

For those who want research analysis, look at the work done with unloved children. Children do not thrive in an environment devoid of love, nor do they develop a healthy sense of self.

Knowledge can indeed be applied correctly to the species.

quote:

With all your talk about love and lust, I noticed that desire and affection wasn't even mentioned. Yet desire and affection is also part of love and a part of lust. The fact is we humans define our own individual definitions to what love/lust/desire/affection is according to our individual perceptions.

It is all fine and dandy to spout the virtues of love over lust yet you can not ignore both have their negative counterparts and both can lead to negative consequences too.

People have killed others in the name of love
Love can drive a person to be insanely obsessed with another
love can drive a person to suicide.
love can manipulate another into doing inhumane actions.
Lust can also do the same.
Lust can also start the healing process in teaching a person they have the ability to care/desire/love another person.

So as you can see love and lust wears many different masks and it's a wise person who has gained the ability to distinguish when it is or isn't appropriate to act upon them. Now this is what I learned in the past quarter century. The thing is: all I learned in the past 49 years has been learned for my benefit, not yours, not LadyP's or anyone else but for me only. It is too bloody sad that some can't understand that.

Bear, I don't agree with you that love can be defined in the manner you've defined it.

Granted, there are many who use the word to describe all sorts of things, But for my paradigm I have a clear and simple definition for Love.

When the well-being and happiness of another is as important to me as my own, or moreso, that is Love.

I don't know, the anteater is pretty badass in my opinion but you might want to get the tiny words spelled right if you want to flounce with gravitas [:D]

You thought the anteater-with-attitude had one of the four cardinal virtues????
