I specifically quoted and responded to " I do NOT comprehend how this is not obvious to anyone following any of this drama." Which I read, I think reasonably so, to mean that you didn't understand why it was necessary for you to offer clarifications as to why people were insulting you and why you responded the way you did. But since my comments were about one particular "insult" launched at you, and I think I made it clear that I didn't care what the origins of the dispute were, I'm not sure what benefit there is to working out this particular interpretive point.

So I do NOT know why you think I assumed everyone was "following all my drama".
I already explained why I thought you had that assumption. Regardless, my concern was with the gender identity insult, not the larger nonsense.

Confusing, because it was not my first post or the first post in the thread. Amusing, because of the suggestion that the ordinal position of one's post in the thread has a qualitative effect on its meanness. Mine was not just a mean post. It was a mean first post.

Agreed entirely. However- two things- ALL my insults were not shallow and silly. In fact, as I explained in the above post (the link)- I ONLY RESORTED to such insults once someone has shown themselves to be quite vicious, and when I believe part of their viciousness stems from jealousy of me.
You know... you really seem to have sufficient intelligence and sense of humor to be getting along much better here than you actually are. For now, I'm going to refrain from analyzing or commenting on your two part "Acceptable Time to Insult" test.

It would be one thing if people were following you around like paparazzi hurling insults at you, but come on...do you really think there would've been 17 pages of insults in that thread if you hadn't been reading and responding? If you hadn't read the insults, would you be hurt or enraged? This drama was avoidable. I can certainly understand, emotionally, why you chose to stay and bicker. But I also think you need to take responsibility, intellectually, for needlessly exposing yourself to harm. I just now read the first two pages of the thread and agree that the initial shots would seem out of left-field to you. But this wasn't some beat-down in an alley where you couldn't walk away. If you're going to stay on the field of battle, you should be prepared to fight.

Would you please take a minute and think about what it says about you that you would categorize someone's looks or intelligence as despicable? Other than that... yeah, the internet is full of social malcontents. And people do frequently let loose on the internet. That doesn't mean that everyone who isn't farting rainbows and casting rose petals at your feet is this awful person that you've envisioned. Given your advanced age and apparent intelligence, I would've expected you to have moved beyond a "you're just jealous" analysis of negative/hostile feedback.

I am not impressed by your sophistry- you seem to be under the impression that I somehow never *actually* meant the insults I'd said. I did. But I SAID them, which was wrong and petty. Lol. I hadn't given much thought to your sincerity. But I'm sure there are others who appreciate you affirming it now. If you think it's wrong to express your petty opinions then you shouldn't be expressing them. It shouldn't matter if they bullied you first. I'm not sure you know what sophistry is. This seems like a pretty basic "two wrongs don't make a right." My personal position is that insulting someone isn't inherently wrong, so I don't require the fig leaf of being insulted first to feel justified in my insult.
