Hello all.

Try this...although it is not the answer you want. Tell "mistress" to knock it off since she has no clue what she is doing. It is her responsibility to know the facts before she engages in any type of CB restriction.

Good question, especially for all the others out there that don't know the answer and are thinking about doing this.

Binding the cock and balls is great fun. I personally love some good restrictive cbt but one needs to be careful. Pain for example is not a good indicator that things are going wrong. If your skin bleeds then the binding is definitely too tight. When it stops hurting and goes numb and cold it means no blood supply to the tissue is getting through.
It is normal for the balls to become engorged and turn red or purple when tied and just as some Doms love to see a womans tits go purple under bondage, many Dommes enjoy seeing the same with a guys balls. With restrictive ball binding its good habit for a Mistress to restore full circulation about every 20 minutes.
There should never be signs of edema or swelling and if this happens she needs to remove the binding immediately.
I would suggest using quick release knots such as a bow knot so she can release you quickly.
Never allow your balls to be put under such duress for a night. You will probably get gangrene.

I have to agree completely with sirsholly. It may be great fun for your Mistress to watch your balls turn blue but it will be a different story if you have permanant damage, lose function or lose one of the things she so loves to torment.

Why is it a wank thread Peon? am I missing something here? If I had started a thread saying 'how long can I safely bind a guys balls up for?' would you of called me a wanker?
I remember the first time I tied a guys balls up. I remember watching them go crimson and then purple and thinking 'wow that's pretty cool' and then wondering at what point they would drop off.
CBT doesn't come without certain dangers and I don't see a problem in telling the op or anyone else that may be interested what the warning signs are!

Why do you suppose it is jaded?  Wouldn't you recommend anyone know what they are doing before attempting techniques on a living person?

I know I'm in the minority here of My way of thinking that the message boards aren't really the most valuable resource in these matters.  There isn't going to be nearly the detail as can be found by attending a few demos or events.  Even lacking that, the information that is going to be conveyed on these boards isn't nearly as extensive as what can be found in purchasing a copy of "The Family Jewels".  This is in addition to the hundreds of threads that already exist on the subject and already provide information.  Research for educational purposes, in My opinion, isn't just sitting back while folks hand over the answers time and time again.

And while it's great that you feel comfortable at demos and events, they are not for everyone.

And we know from experience that many people don't search. That's a simple reality and I don't let that bother me. Then again, I'm an educator by profession so I tend to let people know that this is available if they want to read more.

You know this and I know this. Obviously the OP doesn't know this. But this is a message board where people are encouraged to ask questions. There are plenty of threads I don't respond to if I feel I cannot give a productive response.

Unless a poster is rude to me first, I don't mock them. In fact, I'm not that impressed with myself when I lower myself to the level of flammer, but I, like everyone here, am not perfect.

It is also just as plausible that peon was correct in his beginning assessment.  Considering that every thread that this OP has started has been sexual in nature, I tend to agree with him. 

As far as comfort levels at demos, a demo is just like any other type of class.  Do we tell people that they shouldn't get an education on any other matter because they might not feel comfortable in a classroom?

By the way, the book has been recommended countless times on this site.  It is also included in the Book List thread that has been up since Resident Sadist posted it over a year ago.  Google is everyone's friend when looking for research material.

It may be a bit rude for Me to be here and say that I think anybody that wants to engage in certain kinds of play should bother to educate themselves a bit first before practical application.  If it is, I'll still stand by My belief that a top should have enough vested interest in what she's doing to have the drive to not rely on just the net.

I think this thread would of been better off on 'health and safety'
questions like this should be askable on a site such as CM because of the variety of informed knowledge (from experienced, educated to medical professionals) in an ongoing topic is open to debate. Someone for example could argue my point and say that the balls should never go purple for this or that reason. Someone else could claim I was being over cautious and show medical evidence that restriction can go on for longer.
I think its always important to take the route of caution when you answer threads like this because its reaching out to a wider audience than the op and answers shouldn't be taken too literally without doing ones own research. At the same time they can be helpful.
There are certain activities that I would never put in writing with the knowledge that someone probably will try it without hands on experience from someone in the know but I really do believe that questions like this (no matter who the op) are good for the site.

Re that OP:  the testicles are outside the body for a reason, of course - to keep them cooler than the rest of the body.  I wouldn't intuitively think it's a good to play around with overheating them for long periods of time.
