He finds everything dealing with the government evil.  Heck, he had film of a few people doing rituals and claim that was government workers spending tax money to sanction un-christenlike rituals...yet he degrades Christainty in the same breath.  I keep a salt shaker when I am around him because I do take anything he says with a grain of salt..

Thank you. I wasn't sure if he was a partisan nutcase, or a nutcase in more general terms. Sounds more like the latter.

Yeah, it's hard to tell with some of these guys. They go shooting off in so many directions all at the same time, they eventually wind up intersecting with an infinite number of verticals, so just about any group of nuts can reasonably claim them as their own.

This just proves once again that we need more plane control.  That anyone can get their hands on a plane and commit acts of violence with it means that the time for restrictive plane control has come.  I know that the AOPA says planes are used for transportation and personal entertainment but that's just their spin on things.  There is nothing in the Constitution that says citizens should have access to airplanes!  And all the airplanes are made in the South and migrate to places like New York where they are used for mass killings!

What are you, some kind of a socialist? Planes don't kill people, people kill people, and when  pilot's licenses are outlawed only outlaws will have pilot's licenses!

Well all I can say if it weren't so easy to get a pilot's license JFK Junior would be alive today.  Keep those planes down South for the crop-dusters or something but keep them out of our cities!  We all know there are more airplanes in the US than any other country and more plane deaths here than any other country.

If we are going to outlaw private planes, why not motorcycles and cars as well?

More people die in traffic accidents per year than in aircraft crashes. The average of general aviation crashes per MILLION hours flying is 22.3, the average number of general aviation crashes per year is 12

In 2008 there were 43,313 people killed in car accidents, and in 2006 there were 4935 people killed on motorcycles, far exceeding the number of people killed in ALL airplane crashes for both years.

By your logic eyesopened, it would be better to out law cars and motorcycles than to outlaw private planes.

One thing they do over here (it came in during the IRA bombing campaigns in the '70s) is maintain exclusion zones around cities. There are a few airlanes over urban areas, and anything that strays out of them will (in theory, it hasn't happened yet) be shot down.
I was very surprised back in 2001 to find that you don't have anything like that over there.

Actually, we did, the fact that NO ONE authorized shoot downs was the problem. Once the transponders went off and they left the airlane, they should have been targeted but no one in the Bush administration gave the authorization.

THAT is the problem, the executive branch must authorize the use of deadly force. Personally, I think that NORAD should be able to make the call. Try to raise the suspect aircraft on radio, due a couple of flybyes with cannon fire in front of the aircraft then a fire an air to air missile. Simple, effective and would have prevented the 911 crashes.

Yeah, but Europeans are weird.

I hope this elevated the level of discourse.

PA, you seriously need to get back on the meds.  I posted this as a way that the two republician runners for governor of Texas would take this incident as a means to mudslinging against eah other.

Throughout the thread, no one mention the fact that he attempted to kill his wife and child by setting the house on fire.  Stack was emotional and mentally upset and as he states, no amount of therapy would help him out.  He was definitely at the end of his rope, so to speak.

I had dealings with IRS before and sure, I was upset, but I did not take it out on the agency.  I realized I had a problem and the next year, the problem was resolved (I had Lizard, making me head of household).  I paid them the amount owed.

So with Alex Jones doing his regular anti-governmental talk, you have to admit he is grasping at straws here.  I remember talking with the man about the cameras at several intersections years ago (Bo still listens to him).   I did agree with him stating that Wackenhut was building 're-education' center unjder the deguise(?) of prisons.  But I do admit one thing...He is using infowars for his personal agenda.  Heck, when I am in Austin (every month), I look for his show on the local channels there.  But I also watch the Dad Show, a part of the Headstart progam for child development for pre-school aged kids.

I resolve not to partake of poisonplant.  It is probably like infowars and frankly, I view the show as an anti-governement since the government does take care of me now (SSI and Medicare).

Some  care about you and some like to score points on you.. no one is trying to force you, just
consider the source and decide when it might be time to listen to the ones that care

I stand corrected. I know that Powell was up for that, but was vetoed, but didn't realise it was a part of general policy that nobody in the Cabinet could be arsed with while Bush was busy playing.
