Just remember for static equilibrium sum of all moments must be zero, sum of horizontal forces must be zero and sum of vertical forces must be zero, pick a point where the most forces pass through to eliminate those from the equation. Statically determinant frames are a piece of piss it's doing moment distribution on statically indeterminate frames I hates. All that carry over bollocks is really time consuming, someone needs to invent a computer to do it.

Actually, we did, the fact that NO ONE authorized shoot downs was the problem. Once the transponders went off and they left the airlane, they should have been targeted but no one in the Bush administration gave the authorization.

THAT is the problem, the executive branch must authorize the use of deadly force. Personally, I think that NORAD should be able to make the call. Try to raise the suspect aircraft on radio, due a couple of flybyes with cannon fire in front of the aircraft then a fire an air to air missile. Simple, effective and would have prevented the 911 crashes.

So........when NW 188 overshot Minneapolis and ended up over Wisconsin a few months ago you think the proper course of action would have been to shoot them down?

The procedure is that upon loss of transponder signal and a deviation from flight plan, then the NORAD is to scramble fighters to investigate the situation. Once the aircraft is acquired visually, an attempt to contact by radio, failing that, a number of flybys are done to get the crews attention.

Once the crew either with wing wag or dropping the landing gear or responding by radio, the aircraft is to be escorted to a military base.

IF the target aircraft does not acknowledge the presence of the fighters, the situation is then turned over to the JCS who notifies the president. The president then must make the decision to authorize a shoot down or an alternative.

At some point that crew would have acknowledged a pair of fighters flying in formation with them.

If the aircraft had entered Canadian airspace, the same procedures are in place.

As far as I know, no one on this site is attempting to force you to do anything, people are speaking up because they are concerned for you.

Anyhow Alex had some more analysis today- which pretty much explains things.

It appears this was not a false flag- that the dude was actually pissed off.  Of note here is the fan clubs starting up around this Joe Stack.  Pretty interesting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mMakiD3viM  Peter Schiff talks about the int rate hike.

That I am, but it isn't hard to see what's going on especially Bush who got Americans all worked up so that he could justify invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

Oh and we call our Prime Minister Bush lite or Bush Jr.

So far, Fox news says it was terrorism.  Homeland Security is stuck on their thumbs and apparently the pilot had set his own house on fire (according to his daughter).

I know that building!  Great office views...
