Lewis Black

K.

I love Lewis Black!

The problem isn't Texas per se, or even religion.  I was never taught that God literally created the world in 7 days or that dinosaurs and humans walked the earth at the same time.  But then my denomination requires ministers to have a college education and graduate studies at a seminary.  Learned men and women.  Since it's okay to bash Catholics, let me bash Southern Baptist and all the crazy off-shoots of this bunch of idiots.  They do not require thier ministers and preachers to have any education whatsoever, just a "calling".  And then the followers of these baffoons will home school their kids so that no truth can ever reach them.

Any intelligent reader of Genesis will see the creation story as just that... a story.  It is interesting that the story pretty much gets the sequence about right.  Void, then light, then the planets (earth), then water, then plants, then animals and after animals... people.  So the fools are ignoring even what is clearly written in the story.  Animals first (including dinosaurs) and then humans.  Evolution is not in conflict.

We have proof that humans and dinosaurs did not live together.  We have proof shotguns are not manufactured in Southern states.  But fools will just "know" what they "know" regardless of evidence.  The pity is that it is not limited to Texas nor limited to evolution.

All of the Texas "accents"- epic failz [:'(]

But the pics that y'all posted (especially the raptors getting 21st century on each other's asses [:D]) are better than any discussion of the subject.

She was Kelsey Grammer's ex in that sitcom.

juliaoceania -> RE: Deep In The Heart Of Utter Ignorance (2/20/2010 7:35:27 AM)

There are these sorts in California too... my sister maybe one of them...

She was thinking about making me her daughter's godmother, yes this would be a huge honor, but I flat out told my sister "I do not share your values, find someone else"

My sister doesn't believe in evolution
She thinks it is "justa theory"
She is incredibly sexually repressed to the point it pisses me off

So is gravity.

Yet shit still falls.

So's particle physics, but I don't see that stopping anybody using electricity...

You believe in the so-called "Round Earth" theory? And you believe that our revered ancestors were monkeys?

Therefore, you are not a "Real" Texan.

Case closed.

Lilith was a Domme, she cucked Adam with the snake, and she wouldnt answer to the man of the house which meant she wasnt gonna fit into their idea of "Mankind"), She got a bad rap...maybe it was raptor?
Bebe Neurwith was awesome as Frasiers Lilith

Moonhead -> RE: Deep In The Heart Of Utter Ignorance (2/20/2010 1:00:40 PM)

It's quite a popular Jewish name: I'm not sure, but I think she gets a better write up in the Talmud than she does in the few bits of the apocrypha that deign to mention her. (I'm pretty sure she doesn't get mentioned in Genesis...)

More proof that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time. According to this person, they found out in an email that it was true, here is their proof. You can't argue with that kind of evidence!

quote:

Dinosaurs were created to live with man peacefully. It is only after Adam sinned that they began to degenerate, and grow long sharp teeth, etc.

Well, that explains that, I guess!

It's more than an email, it is an entire website:
Jesus, Dinosaurs and More!

It's more than a website, there's an entire theme park.

P.S. Jesus + dinosaurs = hilarious

Sserpentia -> RE: Deep In The Heart Of Utter Ignorance (2/21/2010 11:04:16 AM)

That's really funny. I don't really know what the fuck someone's religious' beliefs have to do with how "intelligent" they are. I guess if any of you get sick and end up in a hospital....you should tell the hospital you don't want any Jewish doctors working on you. After all, Jews believe the earth is only 6000 years old.

Or, if you get into any legal trouble.....don't get a Jewish lawyer. Them can't be to smart can they?

Learn a few facts.

It's the fundamentalist Creationist Christians going around peddling that shit.
