ORIGINAL: Kirata Lewis Black K. I love Lewis Black! The problem isn't Texas per se, or even religion. I was never taught that God literally created the world in 7 days or that dinosaurs and humans walked the earth at the same time. But then my denomination requires ministers to have a college education and graduate studies at a seminary. Learned men and women. Since it's okay to bash Catholics, let me bash Southern Baptist and all the crazy off-shoots of this bunch of idiots. They do not require thier ministers and preachers to have any education whatsoever, just a "calling". And then the followers of these baffoons will home school their kids so that no truth can ever reach them. Any intelligent reader of Genesis will see the creation story as just that... a story. It is interesting that the story pretty much gets the sequence about right. Void, then light, then the planets (earth), then water, then plants, then animals and after animals... people. So the fools are ignoring even what is clearly written in the story. Animals first (including dinosaurs) and then humans. Evolution is not in conflict. We have proof that humans and dinosaurs did not live together. We have proof shotguns are not manufactured in Southern states. But fools will just "know" what they "know" regardless of evidence. The pity is that it is not limited to Texas nor limited to evolution.
