as a girl who grew up in MN and lived in the basement before basement trolls were a recognised creature (not that i am or was a bt), i need to point out the furnaces are generally kept in the basement. ours was natural gas, so that could be used as a nightlight. also, ron needs to advise whether he's talking daylight savings time. winter - darkness comes vy early.

But this time of year it gets dark later and later so being kept in the basement in Minnesota means less and less time in the dark. Hmmmm.... Perhaps you should negotiate for this to begin in September or October rather than February?
