Let me hope woman! LOL I've already gone through my jewelry boxes and gotten rid of the junk pieces that I don't wear so that I can close them all!

I'm really sorry to have to tell you this, Aqua, but your new Dom is almost certainly a kleptomaniac. It's not his fault, but shiny, noisy, smelly, or otherwise *interesting* things will begin to disappear from your house sooner or later. Just make sure a hard boiled egg is NOT one of them!

Such a shame when starry eyed subs ignore the obvious red flags until their dirty socks and car keys begin to disappear....

Nika reminded me that ferrets love to eat most anything, but they have tiny intestines and even small amount of fiber can cause them bowel trouble of the surgical kind.  They also have a tendancy to develop diabetes as they age and the risk is directly dependent on how much sugar/carbs they are exposed to throughout life.  It is best to keep them away from grains, fruits, and vegetables.  They are what are called obligated carnivores which means that they have to eat meat almost exclusively or suffer the consequences.  Please be careful about what you feed them beyond pellets and supplements from reputable sources.  If it's meat, it's probably safe.  Anything else out of the cupboards or the fridge is a risk.

Oh and I think it's about time we form a subbie intervention for Aqua's denial issues.

Loving, thanks for the reminder. I've been franatically research their diet - I'm used to cats who seem to be able to eat whatever they want. So far I'm only giving him his ferret food and some ferret treats that I bought. We also got a bag of a fancy schmancy, has to be kept frozen or it'll go bad dog food that the pet store said they give all their ferrets but I'm going to read off the list of ingrendients to my vet over the phone since I keep reading that dog food is bad for ferrets. This may be just meat since it seems to be one of those super fancy dog foods.

Pyro, our cats will do the same thing. They like to get human transport whenever possible. I think it makes them feel like royalty.

And I do not need an intervention damn it!

My brothers ferret does not live in a cage, but has the run of the house, together with the two cats. He uses the litter box, and his favourite hiding place is in my sister in laws underwear drawer. There are many stories about all the things they have found stashed by him in the most unusual places. He eats mostly a high quality, wet cat food.

Usually cat and dog food has too high of a grain component.  If it is in the first couple of ingredients on the list, then it is probably too much.  The ingredients are listed just like on human food labels with the most plentiful ingredients listed first.  If any kind of meal grains or other such is in the top five or so, it's a no go at my house.  Also, watch those ferret treats.  I only use Marshalls stuff when it comes to food. Some of the cheaper brands, not all, formulated them with way too much grain and sugar.  Just think of him saying, "Meat!!!!  Meat, slave!!!!!!  I want meat dammit!!!!!!"  and you will be just fine.

And, yes, you do need an intervention.  *nodnodnod*

Yeah, that is why I'm going to bring the info to my vet and see what they say. I've been giving him the Bandit ferret treats. I'll have to check their ingredients. I actually never knew that the ingredients on food are listed in order of what is most plentiful! Thanks for the info!

I so do not need an intervention. BTW - Poor little guy had his first medical issue confirmed today. Seems one of his little elbows likes to pop out of joint. The vet assured me hes's fine and I don't need to bring him back in unless he starts showing signs of being in pain. I feel like a twue ferret owner now.
