As much as I despise Limbaugh, he's right about this. I've noticed it many times myself. Depending on who he's addressing, Obama can sound like a Harvard professor or a Harlem street preacher. Or something in between, or sometimes even both in the same speech. It's one of the things I don't like about him. He's a chameleon. He'll be whatever he thinks people want to see in him.

How is this a bad thing? When I'm down south visiting my relatives my speaking patterns become much more distinctly southern than usual. The same occurs with many of my black friends, They speak standard english around strangers and employers but speak dialect when at home or with friends.

Hmmm... I will have to pull up a few of my critiques of those on the right. You should know that some of those on the right I just completely ignore as their idiocy (and bigotry) is extremely obvious.
