Im just introducing my girlfriend into the world of bdsm, and we'll start where everyone usually does...handcuffs...problem is Im in a dorm with a bed, but no bed posts... suggestions? thanks in advanced.

Dude, there are like ten thousand things you can do without tying your lover to the bedposts.

However, if you're hung up on the bed-bondage thing they make this Under The Bed Restraint system you can use which will achieve the same effect.

Or, y'know, if you don't have the scratch to order something like that, you can always improvise using some rope under the mattress. The clever and horny mind learns to improvise. [;)]

Yeah, or just tie her up to the kitchen table or something. Maybe the hood of the car.

You can use something like motorcycle tie down loops.  Put one around the leg of the bed or loop one through the frame at each corner and you have a handy loop to attach things to. 

For a little more money, there are also bondage bed straps what will give you a ring to attach things to and are easy to install/hide when need be.

You can get an awful lot of mileage out of some cuffs, a blindfold and some bondage tape.

I have the under the bed restraint system and the over the door restraint system.... I like them, ALOT.... also the under the bed system can always be left on, so that's a bonus...it's always good to go.

Do what I've done some times. Tie your Ropes to the legs onder the bed, and they bring the ropes above. I am sure your bed might have 4 legs.

Run the rope under the full length or width of the mattress.

If you don't mind a bit of hardware added to your bed, attaching drawer handles to the frame make for nice restraint points for tying down. If you have a box frame bed, loop a rope around the bottom box and attach tie-downs as wanted or needed to that loop.

I have the sport sheets under the bed restraint system and it does an amazing job at holding squirms down

It's been awhile since i was in a dorm room.  Do they supply the beds and if so, do they allow altering the bed frame as suggested in posts above?

Basically, without attaching eyebolts or handles, there are ways to wrap or loop something around a bed, whether it be around the mattress, the frame, or, the leg.  Perhaps the best place to start would be with your favorite BDSM material, such as rope, leather, chain, etc.  If price is an issue, you can buy belts cheap at a thrift store (buckle them together if you need something longer).  Buy one of those jars of different length bungee cords - they are easier to explain to those annoying prying vanilla friends.  Or, just go together to the local Home Depot or dollar store, and, learn to look at things in a totally different way.

this might work for you. cut a little hole on the top and the side of the box spring so you can fish a piece of rope through it. I had four rope with double loops on them, it only took about a min to set up or remove.

If you have the metal frame, get four pieces of chain.  You can loop the chain around each leg and clasp the loop with the clips to fasten.. do this on all four legs and the other end of the chain can be brought up to the bed..you can attach the wrist restraint to the chain loops..and this can be adjusted for arm length or tightness etc.. .. also.. on the end where you attach the chain around the leg you can get a type of plastic tubing to slide over the chair so it doesnt make alot of noise on the end that is wrapped around the leg.. ..when not used just tuck the restraints under the bed.. very quick..very easy and effective and you dont have to make  holes in the bed or do eyehooks and things like that.. also..if you travel somewhere....undo them and toss them in a bag..you will have instant restraints for say.. picnic table bondage or whatever else you might decide.. very convient..
