Status: offline 		Easy, I don't define myself or my dominance by how much less my partner is than me, I define it by how much more she is than when I met her.  I don't bind someone to me by trickery but by honesty and the fact that they know that together we are greater than we would be apart.

What you speak of is falconry.  The noble bird is free to fly wherever but has been tricked into thinking sustanance comes only from its master and so it must return for sustanance thinking it has no choice.  I want to teach that bird it does have a choice but inspire it to return to me without trickery.

If I may add something...

Not all slaves whose minds are "bent" by their Masters' will, as you say it, are weak minded.  My perception of things and the way that I think has changed drastically since I have been with my Master, and I have been aware of these changes every step of the way.  As SimplyMichael says,

Some cultures, one sold oneself into slavery to pay off a debt, and were treated essentially like a bonded worker, living with the family and being very much a part of their daily lives. Other cultures had slavery as a method for keeping a specific group down. Still others turned their POWs into slaves. Slavery means a lot of different things, dependent on the culture and time period.
Would I personally have liked to have been a slave? No thanks. I like my slavery consentual, thanks.

Not too long ago, the police found a "compound" hidden under a bridge. In this compound were pre-teen and teen girls who had been brought to the US under false promises. These girls were being prostituted to the migrant workers in the area.
