Where did I "laud" anyone? I read a political story & thought to share it here.  Frankly I'm of the opinion that Congress as a whole needs to stop the posturing, pontificating, and time wasting, and concentrate on the issues that are important to the whole, and not the special interest minority.

He was funny at first. His "Veteran" posing and his outlandish statements.

He has no second act though.

He is sad

Scientific scandal?

How about the Scopes trial.

Science has nothing to do with this political bullshit.

Good luck trying getting this administration to admit GCC has been a fraud since day one. Holder is too busy giving terrorists rights, and hiring terrorist loving lawyers.

OK, subrob, I am going to snark on you a little here. I love the part bolded- about the government giving people rights.

There was a time, in the way way back, when conservatives like Wm. F. Buckley would stand up and make all kinds of impassioned speeches about the inherent rights of man, quoting Locke and Jefferson and Paine, insistently demanding that human rights are from God alone, that no government can give or take away our rights.

Of course, I should have known better; they were talking ONLY about the Soviet Union, silly.

When it comes to people we don't like, then human rights are basically priviledges, reserved exclusively for Real Merkins. And the government can grant or take them away at the whim of the Executive.

OK, snark off- Maybe you really didn't mean it the way it sounded. But it jumped out at me, because that point of view IS EXACTLY the point of view of Dick Cheney and the neocons; they honestly agree with the Soviet Union that rights are something that can be suspended at whim, that government should have nearly infinite power over its groveling subjects.

Yeah, as you can tell- I kinda have a wild hair up my ass over the whole thing.

Yeah but Animus subrob wasn't lauding anybody, nor taking a position he was merely sharing with us...and one post later he "shared "with us that Liberals were the "lowest common denominator"....but he's not taking a position nor posturing(a practice he claims to detest coming from Congress)...how do we know this...well damm 'cause he say's so.

Can you imagine trying to live with that kind of anger all the time. I bet his family has stock in tums.

Snark away, but I gotta be honest and say this picture doesn't bother me even a little bit. IMO Terrorists have no rights, even the right wing home grown type. They give up their rights when they decided to hide amongst, and involve innocent civilians.

I said from day one that we're fighting the wrong type of war, we never should have invaded, and we definitely shouldn't have taken any prisoners...They should all have died where we found them.
