BTW... Alice Cooper and ROb Zombie will be playing here in August.  I'm trying to decide now if I can work the day off to see the show (it's on a Tues, I've only got Saturdays off).  ANd if I'm not mistaken, the Canadian dollar is stronger than the US dollar right now.....lol

WHAT!?Blasphemy, I remember when I went to ozzfest in 2002,ozzy followed system of a down, and while I halfta admit that system does way better music, Ozzy puts on alot better of a show, but it didn't matter, half the audience left before ozzy came on stage lol

FR

Take me back even further. Give me some Everly Brothers, Rick Nelson, or Elvis right on up through CCR, Three Dog Night, Santana, and BTO. I liked it when people actually sang the lyrics. No shouting, screaming, or "rapping". Even disco was a little much for me. I switched to country music when the disco era came in. I tried all the links in the OP and couldn't get all the way through any of them. To each their own.

I've never seen Ozzy live... would love to though.

TDN would be great, cant deal with too much CCR (dude's voice grates on me) love the Everly's.  Came to like Elvis AFTER he was dead (love his gospel stuff, especially).

Pyro.. part of why I hope to see AC/RZ is because I spent a time working with WZ (when they were touring with ANthrax)

ETA:  HEY, youngster..watch it on that granpa remark!!  LOL

I like country too.. spent 2 yrs working for Tim McGraw (and in the latter part of that, Faith Hill, too)

I'll retire to my room when they take all the rap-crap off the air.

And by the way, I wasn't putting down what you might like....I just said it wasn't for me. Don't like it? Go to your own room.

Haha, shit, I listen to much older stuff then that(memphis minnie is one of my all time favorite vocalists), I just love it when some old foogie starts talk'n bout his generations music like it's the only relevant art form since the dawn of time, kinda like a little kid raving bout a grilled cheese sandwich, and of course I like some country too, but i ten to drift tward the blue grass/Flying burrito brothers kinda stuff, most "country" is just really bad rock'n roll with a southern accent and maybe an acoustic guitar, or maybe even a fiddle lol

any who, speaking of not screaming or rapping lyrics, any one even a fan of spoken word?

*warning, I am kinda try'n to fuck with yer heads a bit with the link above lol
