I do not claim to know how it developed, but the left hand was deemed sinister initially, because the latin for left is sinestra (hope I spelled it correctly).

As for hypnosis as a tool in BDSm, as an example I told Joe in a post on another thread, I have used the work "cuffed" as a trigger word in a post hypnotic direction.  The subject's hands then become locked together, as I had previously directed while she was in the trance.  Worked quite well.  In one instance I had her put her hands around a post and then said the trigger word.  Instant bondage!

Tal and Hello

This has reminded me of when I was very young and just had started going to the public school.  I was left handed and had to attend special classes to learn to write with my right hand.  At that time a person who was left handed was considered mentally defective.  It is interesting to note that now those who are left handed are considered more intelligent and creative then those who are right handed.  After all a left handed person is in their "right" mind.

I wish you well

Ugh. Never mind. I just read the OP's profile and at the very end, this is what he has on his profile:

"
Our slave must be willing be hypnotized.  I seek to create a village of peasants here that I will rule over."

Okaaaay. That answers any questions I have as to his credibility.

Some people are immune to hypnotic suggestion and so cannot be hypnotised. Several professional therapists have attempted to hypnotise me and I had to pretend to be hypnotised but was fully aware of my surroundings and in possession of my own thought processes and body.
