but, she seemed to have made an honest mistake, its over, I'm not worried about it. Bob, seems to think it is about him, I didn't even get that at all.

eh, i just did the 'foot in mouth' thing, hurt feelings, apologized, did what i could to correct it, then stayed the fuck away from it, lol. drama puts me out of whack, so i think i had a mini-anxiety attack with the sorries, heh. it wasn't directed at anybody, though. hand to god, it wasn't.

and thanks! i'm trying to change it, and add a sig, but no dice so far and i haven't been arsed to look for a how-to on that sorta thing yet.

So. Okay. Bob - as I take it - you're here to find true love - even if there's only a tiny chance that it could happen. All right, I'm with you so far.

Why, then, are you posting all these negative threads belittling or mocking other people or their actions? How is that helping matters? It doesn't, in my opinion, make you appear as a loving, kind, caring individual. The "lady you seek" probably isn't someone who will be attracted to someone who spends his time aggressively (or passive-aggressively) deriding others. She's probably (and correct me if I'm wrong, here) looking for someone who is supportive and nurturing and caring. Who will be understanding and compassionate. I don't believe you come across that way.

Given the vast deluge of masculine attention women seem to get on sites like this, they're almost forced to use aggressive screening techniques to weed out the throng of truly undesirable types. A woman who is your ideal candidate may well simply read one or more of your posts or glance over one of your threads and move on, long before she would even consider reading your fiction or your manifesto, simply because the atttiude you often manifest doesn't always match up with the values you claim to espouse.

I'm suggesting (and take it as you will) that you might get more mileage if you changed your presentation style. Your goal here is not to persevere against those who dislike and/or disagree with you. You've already stated you don't care about them. Your goal is to find the woman you do admire. Tailor your words and actions to her.

I'd also suggest getting out for a bit. Travel. Meet new people. Expand your contacts. Visit someplace outside of Ontario. Sometimes a change of scene, even if just for a few days or a week, opens entire worlds of possibilities. Hanging around a BDSM board and exchanging subtle verbal barbs with other posters probably isn't an ideal method for finding true love. (Although, oddly enough, it might actually have some value if you were looking for casual sex).

Don't sweat it. I'm at the other end of spectrum. I'd much more prefer a blunt honesty than a sugar-coated deception. Just dish it out straight from the heart and we'll do fine.
