I'd had years to chat with people and research.  I'd read everything I could find on the internet as well as books.  I knew the difference between fantasy and reality.  It was exactly what I expected.

I thought it was going to be much more "strict" and "formal" than it ended up being, which was something I did not want anyways...

Our interactions in the D/s sense exceeded my expectations. He has exceeded my expectations in every way. Our relationship isn't like a castle realm stereotype. It was built to suit both of our needs.

It was more than i ever dreamed it could be, because i had no real life experience and since i dated and married my Owner, the love, trust and respect was already there. We, just had to figure out what worked for us and what didn't.

So, many things i was unsure of, so i tried more than i probably owuld of if i had been through it before and i probably would not have been so eager either.

Sometimes the fantasy was more then expected from the reality and sometimes the reality shattered the fantasy. That is always a part of life and I see that as growing and evolving as we experience more of life and all it holds.

I didn't expect so many wankers. ;-)

Honestly, I had no expectations. My motto is high hopes and low expectations. A very smart friend told me that 10 years ago and it stuck.

I didn't expect to meet the love of my life, but I did. Not going to brag about it, like all the slags out there that go on and on and on about how wonderful their fucking relationship is (the lack of decency out there is fucking stunning), but still... it worked for me.

Who knows? You might meet someone who's into foie gras. And then you'll be in business .

Many people in the lifestyle are less reality-based than I would've thought.  But I have always figured that it is a my bad for not accepting that many people are nuts.

What the fuck? Who is this so called love of your life!!! Liar. I want names!!! Is it Jeffff? He has been acting rather odd of late. He has been a little distracted, aloof. His touch has gone cold.

Hey, Katy - typically, people pretend to be nuts, and then they calm down .

It's your fault. You were too loving. It put me off: I need frustration, and you wouldn't give it to me.

I googled "bdsm" and found CM. Until I got here I always thought all people were pretty normal and grounded. For the first three months I was out here I actually thought there was a place called Gor and the Wisconsin Public school system had betrayed yet another poor soul.

Then I learned about Dommes and the pussies that love them, tributes, TPE, puppy and horsey play, prostate milking, forced lactation, scat, piss and blood play. Unfortunately, I tried to board the bus back home and they kicked me off because they said "the stench of CM is strong on this one."

I am a man without a country. Unfortunately we are stuck here together. All of you dummies and me. I hate all of you.

Edited to add...~smiles~

I came here by accident in a way. I was googling a friend of mine that died. I knew his online name and it eventually led me here. I was surprised that people were funny.

Initially I felt that folks were more intolerant in some ways than I would imagine and found it funny considering the indoor mall here. Mostly I have learned lots about lots and have some favorite people here I really like.
